littlewhitey's Christmas Tree Competition 2012!
« on: November 27, 2012, 10:29:14 AM »

As we try every year (2009, 2010, 2011), littlewhitey's celebrates Christmas by adding a nice tree to the SA-MP server. This can't be done without your input!

First of all, make sure your version of GTA: San Andreas is downgraded to V1.0. You can do this using this patch. You will need a Map Editor to create your tree. Actually, there are a few tools you can use. I will try to explain how mapping works with 'MTA Map Editor'.

First you will have to download and install MTA.

After you're done: run it as administrator and click Map Editor.

There you go. Now you can collect objects, put them together and figure everything out.

Other:
SA-MP Map Editor: Download
Alternative Map Editor 1: Download
Alternative Map Editor 2: Download

Well I suggest you google your problem first, there is alot of information out there regarding GTA Map Editors. If you really have a specific question, and can't find any information, feel free to post your problem.

Some useful sites:

Q: Why can't I save or load my map anymore?
A: Make sure you run it as Administrator at all times. If this does not the issue, look for the file 'Editor_Dump' in MTA San Andreas\server\mods\deathmatch\resources
and delete it.

â—‹ The tree must be placed somewhere on The Strip.
â—‹ When you submit your tree, make sure to include at least 3 screenshots.
â—‹ The object limit is set to 400.
â—‹ Mazimum amount of lights in the tree is set to 65.
â—‹ When converting your tree to SA-MP format, use WWW.CONVERTFFS.COM as your convertor.
â—‹ Keep your source code private.
â—‹ The winner will be picked using a poll: Whoever gets the most votes wins.
â—‹ Deadline is set for DECEMBER 20th, 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you need it? It would be better if you could find a spot with enough room, my first thoughts!

Yes but I found a good location but there are 2-3 objects ruins tree... Not much objects like 20-25. If I remove them I think it will look good.

No, I'm sorry. Please focus on mapping the tree instead of editing surroundings.

It hasn't been allowed in the previous competitions, let's keep it that way! :-*

The winning tree will be featured in December's You + 2. ;) We'll try to display a greeting message showing the winner's name on the tree.
It's all circular. Everything goes back to where it started from, only to overlap in a new cycle. The connection is not lost, and the division is not broken.
