I'll try to update this post as more frequent questions get asked.



Will my stats be transferred from 0.3 to 0.4?
Transferring money, stats and vehicles is still being discussed. Donator benefits I believe are given to people who had them in LW's 0.3.

I get a message about MSVCR110.dll being missing and the game doesn't load, what do I do?

My game crashed! WTF?
Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard, type %APPDATA%\VCMP\04beta\crashlogs and press enter. Post any crashes in the Bugs and Crashes section of http://forum.vc-mp.org (http://forum.vc-mp.org), and not on the Littlewhitey's forum. Include information about what you were doing when the game crashed. Make sure to follow any additional instructions there.

There's some other bug and it's annoying.
Make a post in http://forum.vc-mp.org (http://forum.vc-mp.org) in the Bugs and Crashes section with information about the bug, how to produce it (if you know) and what you at least think caused it.

I have a widescreen or mouse fix ASI but it's not loading.
Use /setconfig game_allowedmods ASINAME1.asi ASINAME2.asi etc. in-game, then restart your game. ASIs are whitelisted in order to prevent mods that conflict with VC:MP 0.4 (such as VC:MP 0.3 or CLEO) from loading at the same time and causing crashes.

Why can't I spectate? Why are there no weapon pickups?
These are features that must now be implemented by servers, and are not built into every server by default.

The world is blank or empty; textures aren't appearing; players appearing without skins; buildings aren't loading.
Your game is likely running out of texture/model stream memory. If you have visual mods and used a limit increaser, your changes were overridden by VC:MP since the client has its own configuration for it. Try using /setconfig game_streammem 512 or a higher value to specify how many MB of memory should be available, then restart your game.

What about ping problems? I'm getting kicked everytime for high ping, the problem is my ping went normal 90/80ms, it happens only in lw server, do you have any idea?

That might be a server bug. Can't say for sure, I'd have an admin look into that first.

I still don't understand why server kicks me for high ping? I'm just here to find any support from administrators about the case:
- My ping on 0.4 around 90/80ms, so I can't get kicked from the server.
- This problem happens always ONLY on lw server, I don't find any problem on other 0.4 servers.
- I was re-installing the client but I didn't found any solution about this annoying problem.
- My FPS is actually 30, maybe FPS affects on ping but I don't have a low FPS to get a high ping I thought.
Well, already posted about it but no one respondes...

I wouldn't know what's happening on your side. You'd be better off asking adtec via irc or forum pm (tho, you might no get a reply soon).

The ping kick system works exactly as it does in 0.3 as it is literally the same game-mode so i don't see why your having problems. The only two things i can think of are either the GetPlayerPing function in the plugin SDK isn't returning the correct data (which is unlikely as it seems to be working perfectly fine for everyone else) or it's your internet connection.

I don't think the problem on my internet connection because, I have never been kicked for ping in lw 0.3 server, where can I find GetPlayerPing?

Money, Stats and vehicles must be transferred imo, otherwise it would be a huge disappointment.  :(

the other day i was fighting a guy i knocked him down and blew a car near him it did some damage but did not kill him but after that he turned invisible for me until i died i could only see his shadow on the ground any idea what that might be ??

And it wouldn't hurt to reset all stats, cars etc. in LW because making money is the easiest thing to do in both 0.3 and 0.4.

Regarding the ping issue, I've seen many people getting kicked for high ping, but only the players who always have had dodgy movement anyways.
Me myself went from 40 ping average in 0.3 to 15 ping average in 0.4
So I can surely say that 0.4 should decrease your ping when you have good internet, not increase it.

Same here, my ping was 170-190 (0.3z) and now it is 146-150.

Exactly i'm one of them, my ping was pretty good 90/80 sometimes it went down to 70 and I'm getting kicked for ping, I'm really upset because I just join server and play on it atleast 6 or 7 minutes and got kicked as well. It's a terrible problem.

1)Are there going to be any weapon pickups when a players dies or drop weapon system in 0.4?
2) Is the server going to stay the same or will u add stuff like derby,parkour,ramp,races,hunting,reaction test & etc...?

where there are laggers there is lead aim!!!
nie worry mate.
pings are decreased about 15-45 numbers on both side so try decreasing lead aim distance and it will work just fine.

Agreed. New start. It would also motivate players to play hard and learn the 0.4 sync etc. etc. to have the same stats they had in 0.3.

There is nothing fresh about it its 0.4 minor changes to orignal client yeah they are minor and like samp every month there is an update to the client it doesn't mean they should delete stats and make a fresh start every month. Think about it guys vcmp didn't have any updates cause the developer who ever he WAS didn't make any changes and took many years to create an update its just a minor update cause its 0.4 not vcmp 2.0 .

At least money and Vehicles should remain, it took several months to obtain a certain amount of money or the vehicle one badly wanted to have (at least for me)

We actually had considered calling it 1.0. Call us old-fashioned I guess.

And doesn't SA:MP update once a year (http://sa-mp.com/)?

For the rest did u every try to play on samp if yes have ur stats been reseted cause of new client updates? I bet not...

I'm not sure whatever perspective it is you're looking at this from, but I have to say that this is more than just a 'minor update', this is a major update.

It is a major update agreed by the general members of the vc:mp community, so please stop your private dissension unless you want to get beat up by a man with the strength equivalent to that of sergeant slaughter. Just wondering, the new 0.4 game mode will be ready on 1st May (as ryz said), so the vehicle / stat / money we have now in 0.4 will also reset ?

The new game mode is still being coded and will not (very likely) be ready before 1st May, meaning the only thing that will change is the shutdown of the 0.3 server. This means your vehicles, money and stats will not be reset on 1st May. We will make an announcement when the new game mode is about to launch so you don't have to worry for now :)
