Title: Looking for a new gaming laptop
Post by: Freak on November 27, 2017, 09:09:44 AM
Hey people, it's been a while!

I'm looking for a new laptop which can run really good ''PlayerUnknown's battlegrounds''.

The laptop on which I've stopped on is LENOVO Y520-15IKBN 80WK00E6BM: 8GB of Ram, Intel Core i7-7700HQ with a video card Nvdia GeForce GTX 1050 (4GB), Processor 2.80 - 3.80 GHZ

Is that good enough to play the game on a high performance?

Any suggests?

The one you just mentioned is already enough to play most games at full graphics, but i presume it would cost around the near1000s i was wrong.

Yep that laptop is actually good! Especially for its value.
Tho if your looking for a cheap laptop with ok performace i suggest searching for Acer's E series or Asus's previous zenbooks. Try to do indepth research with the laptop that you want to buy and its competitors, because while lenovo may be known to have better performance, maybe buyer were complaining about its battery life or screen? Better to compare and research :)

There is Dell Inspiron 5567 Laptop - Intel Core i7-7500U, 15.6 Inch HD, 2TB HDD, 16GB RAM, 4GB AMD R7 M445 which is powerful in ram but is not in VGA, i think it's bit cheaper than the one you mentioned

This Lenovo as I mentioned costs around 750-800 euro in my country, it's not that cheap of course. I prefer to buy Lenovo since my laptop atm is Lenovo and it's really good! But my processor is Intel core i5 4200M, also my video card isn't good enough to run this game on a good graphics.

This lap has pretty good specs and it's worth the price but if I were to buy a pc for gaming I'd choose desktop instead of laptop.

Alienware is made by dell and it rocks on gaming. I’ve tested a alienware and i was impressed but obviously not everyone can afford one. I suggest you to look for Asus or Sony products.

Dell is known for its performance, and there's some versions that are good for gaming, the one i sent you is low budget, yet has good specs comparing to the one you mentioned (i just realised it's only the RAM, so this can be increased when you get the lenovo) though it stops on you:))

What would you say about Lenovo's Y series?

And is that good enough to have processor like this -> 2.80 - 3.80 GHZ?

Depends on the amount of processor you have, The more the better , if you have 3 processors with this speed , it would be fine to play most games at low graphics, having 7 at this speed would allow you to hold Samp server while playing Gta samp, basicly Its very powerful, heck my old gaming desktop has 7 processor with 2.67GHz of speed, and is able to run GTA V with ease. Tho you need to take account of your graphics card aswell, which with the lenovo, is already OP enough to run 7 gta sa in 7 accounts ;)
