EnzoMortelli's Desert Warfare Event

What is it?

In this Event, two armies, namely the G.R.A. (Great Royal Army) and the I.R.F. (Imperial Revolution Force) fight for the whole desert in single Attack and Defend or Teamdeathmatch fights, taking over single territories in manners of a board game. The teams will fight on 34 fields in the desert, following the green connection lines to proceed with their conquest.

As this map is a bit chaotic, i've made up a progress graph, which you can find here. [->

The Teams

There will be two Leaders, which will be elected in the Team Leader Election. [link removed]
The Leaders will lead their army, recruit players for the single events, organize fights together and choose the areas to fight in according to the rules.

Teams can be as big as possible, but should be at least 4 vs 4. Under extreme circumstances it might be possible to fight a 2 vs 2, but not less.

The Rules - How does it work?

Each leader will choose one field as base for their army first, these should not be direct neighbours.
A five-round deagle-only duel beetween the leaders will decide which team starts first.
The teamsize is on leaders decision for any fight - as long as teams are balanced* and the minimum team size of 4 players per team is reached.

*(teamsize(GRA) - teamsize(IRF)) ϵ {-1, 0, 1}.

*1st Phase: Positioning
Each battlefield has max three neighbour fields (linked through the conquest lines).
A team can only fight for a field that is a direct neighbour to a field they already conquered.
They cannot fight for fields already owned by them.

In this phase it is not possible to fight for fields that belong to the enemy army.

Teams will fight in turns:
At first one team chooses an Area to fight, and if they win, they'll choose another available area, if they lose the enemy team proceeds.

If one party shouldn't be able to choose any free field according to the rules, but there are free fields left, the party looses the war and the game is over.

*2nd Phase: War
When all fields found their owner, it's time for war. That follows the same rules as the first phase, but now the competitors will only attack enemy fields.

Also, if a party has fought for a field but lost, they may only return to that field after fighting for at least two other fields.
If one army can't choose a field because all available fields (that do not belong to them already) are blocked due to the rule before, the opposing army will proceed.

The first army to own ALL the 34 fields wins!

Note: using vehicles and outside vending machines is allowed. It is not allowed to enter interiours! (the empty building in El Quebrados counts as exteriour aswell as the inner area 69, and while fighting in Sherman Dam's Generator Hall the Hall counts as exteriour while the outside counts as interiour, that means do not leave the hall when fighting there!)

It is explicitly allowed for participating admins to use one of their hydras OR hunters on their own decision, either to give them to players or to fight on themselves with it. However, they are only allowed to spawn 'em once in each fight and only ONE vehicle per team even if more than one admin fights. So it might be a good decision to recruit an admin for your team ;)
Note that this is on admins decision only, any continued demanding of the special vehicles can get you kicked from the event!

Also, soldiers may not leave the current battlefield under any circumstances. If they do they will be kicked from the event!

A word on ruining: It is not allowed for non-participants to interfere with the event in any way. That includes attacking, distracting, disturbing, harming, shooting the participants in any way or whenever during the event, aswell as delivering vehicles into the battlezone or modifying the actual vehicles there by pushing or steeling them in great scales. The referee counts as participant.

Any action considered as eventruining will be punished as follows:
+ kick without warning, if repeated ban for the time of the event, if repeated further ban for longer time.

Note that these bans won't be opened without an proper appeal!

The Modes

There are 23 TDM-fields, and 11 fields for AAD.

TDM: Two Teams engage in All-out-war. No respawns. Last Man Standing wins for their team.

AAD: Team Defense defends an unarmed player at their base. Team Attack has to kill this unarmed person (100HP, 100AR). The unarmed person may not leave the battlezone. Team Defense wins by completely wiping out the Attacker's team. No respawns. Which team will be attack or defense is obvious.

The Classes

Soldier
-m4: 400 ammo
-deagle: 20 ammo
-grenade: 1
30HP
20AR
min. 1 per team

Sniper
-Sniper: 15 ammo
-Silenced: 50 ammo
50HP
0AR
min. 1 per team

Anti-Armour
-mp5: 400 ammo
-9mm: 30 ammo
-rpg: 1
20HP
30AR
only 1 per team

Demolition
-spas: 50 ammo
-deagle: 30 ammo
-satchels: 2
10HP
40AR
max. 2 per team if there are 2 soldiers already, else max. 1.

Every class will have knife and parachute.
Don't forget: Satchels are not synced! You must be in the enemy's near view distance range while planting them to make them work correctly.

Attention! The sets contain banned weapons! If you get disconnected by whatever during the event, wait at least 15 minutes before you rejoin, else you will be autobanned and not unbanned without posting an appeal and within the event time. Admins will NOT unban you automatically, post an appeal!

Organization
A fight will happen when:
- Both team leaders are online and agree on doing the fight.
& One of the below listed admins is online to set up the event and as referee.
& The fight the leaders want to do is valid according to the event rules.
& The leaders have recruited enough soldiers and the teams are balanced.
& Each team member knows in which class they would like to play.
& The results of the last fight have been updated to the Progress Chart.

Note: It is not necessary to have a set team, you can recruit players ingame on the fly.

Helpers
The referees should be admins. It's their job to setup the events, watch that everyone follows the rules and punish ruiners, and to update the results to the Progress Chart, ofc they don't need to modify the graph, just post the results and a list of the players who took part plus their classes.

Setting up the event will go like this:
Make two groups for each class, so one class for each team. (8 groups)
Set all spawns in some interiour location that cannot be entered from the main world.
Set weapons and HP/AR
Set colours (Red for I.R.F. and Blue for G.R.A.)
Add players. (Ask for Ids for teams and class one after the other)
Teleport the players to the marked locations in the map up there ^ and freeze them.
Update the groups.
Start by unfreezing the Soldiers, then the Demolitions, then the Snipers and last the Anti-armours.

Helper's List

As you may see by now, this event will take very long. So it would be great to have a lot of participants and referees to ensure it can be done without doing great pauses that will decrease the interest in it. Prices are not yet decided, but they will surely be worth fighting for.

Follow the Team Leader Election for actual starting dates and the Progress Chart for current updates on the event.

Good luck!

Attention!

There are some additions to the rules, as following:

*If in the positioning phase a team cannot choose any field according to the rules, because they are surrounded by enemy fields, they will have to defend the surrounded field in a special fight, and if they can defend it they can choose a new base, otherwise they've lost the war.

*Players joining the event are added randomly to any team. This makes hosting a lot easier for admins, and also provides faster hosting and start of the event.
(Still it is possible to make wishes in which team you want to play, but not for a specific class, and if teams would be unbalanced you will be distributed randomly)

*Entering interiours during the event will not be punished with a kick from the event anymore, but with an instant kick from the server!
(remember to wait 10 minutes before coming back in this case, otherwise you will most likely be autobanned by LWBot for weapon hacks)

*Should anyone due to whatever reasons not spawn at the closed event respawn but in normal, crowded LV, do not use your event weapons or you will be banned.

Many players have had objections against the low armour, health and ammo values. They will not be changed. Those low values are to provide that players have to use advanced tactics, only the army with better tactical potential will win, not those who hide in any corner until the end and then run in to kill-steal. Also you should use your ammo economical, not wasting whole mag thinking some shots will hit anyway. Proper shooting skills should be required here.
And another reason: long fights are boring for those who are already dead, quick decisions rule. 8)

it's not very scan-and-understand friendly. You have to read all of the text thoroughly to make some sense out of it

^^

That's because this text is made for those who really want or need to understand what happens behind the scenes.
If you just take part in the event all you need are some skills, the team leaders care about the other stuff for you.
You don't have to know all that, except the rules, all you have to do is fight. :D

We'll do this again today if enough players show up.
We need a minimum of 8 interested players.
I will open a event ready gang and keep that open alap, if you are interested in desert warfare join it,
and if we are 8 i'm gonna host it 8)

Double post:

Those dots indicates the territories or area captured or won by GREAT ROYAL ARMY(GRA i.e. mine army) 8) and red dots are of Imperial Revolution Force(IRF).
