Title: Performance upgrades[REJECTED]
Post by: enkei on November 05, 2009, 07:52:38 PM
Yea, dont tell me its impossible because i know it's not.

Have performance modifications availible at transfenders. (eg. Weight reduction kit, Engine performance kit, tires)

All you'd have to do is edit the vehicle's row in the handling.cfg file. Its easy. There, you can edit the mass, and aerodynamics of a vehicle.

if someone selects weight reduction, their vehicle's mass gets lowered. Easy.

The hard part is making it vehicle specific. Modifying the mass on that particular car, instead of every car of the same model currently on the server.

Sounds easy maybe, but I don't know if this is possible. Did you see this in other servers yet?

Lol, the server cant edit your handling.cfg file

My idea. If you would change the config file that would mean every car (of the type you changed) in the entire game gets affected. And now I think better about it, like Dominator says, the server can't edit your config file cause when you play online, the sa-mp engine uses your local config file and not the file on the server.

So it's impossible.

Dominator- The server has its own handling.cfg file. YOU use their file. Not your own. You use your own when you play offline, in regular gta:sa.

So where did you see this stuff in action? I would like to know. Thinking of something that might work doesn't mean it really does. And like I said, even if you could change the config file on the server, it would mean every car gets affected. I don't think there's a solution for that.
