Title: Newbie Start Area/Login Area
Post by: CrAzE on April 22, 2010, 02:38:44 PM
I think a good idea would be a newbie start area in a building with help pickups which tell them rules, how to earn money and events that happen on Littlewhitey Server and maybe have a building as a area before you login maybe the same place at newbie help area but with no weapons or damage possible of course

This will help instead of newbies having to read server messages which announce after a few mins

Ye, but when a newbie spawns in a seperated area he may think that the server is empty.

It's a good idea, but I think it would be way better if those help pickpups would be scattered all over the map, or inside the bank or ammunation. An inconvenience could be the camping at that building.

Anybody ever played RuneScape? They have a "Tutorial Island". You've gotta complete basic tasks before you're allowed to roam around freely. I think this would be a good idea. Isolate a building or area (Army base in top corner of LV for instance) and script a short tutorial that runs about 5 minutes long that teaches them the basics.

The reason LWs doesnt have many players is because its players are the best of the best. I sometimes log onto Gamer-X, and i have tons of fun duels there. I'm actually really really good at it. But as soon as i log onto LWs, i cant win a duel to save my life. LW players are the BEST in all SA-MP, and they arent giving noobs a break. That's why there is a lack of players.

The best players ww-wise would be at GTA:T/SFR and rw-wise LVP or something, not LW lol.

Perhaps. I must admit i do not do much server exploration. Gamer-X.. LWs... Used to play on Party server alot before 0.3a, but now its full of hackers (Plus my ign is registered by someone else). I just seem to fight much for efficiently elsewhere. Thats why i don't bother buying weapons in LWs. I stash the money for my weekend LAN parties.

Also, for any of you with the invite to my Alliance, We'll sometimes be having WAN parties. Where we all log on and attempt to own the server. We'll buy all props, own all territories, drive around together killing anyone in our way. I've currently got 30mil saved up for our first WAN party. I hope to kick off the festivities once i reach 50 or 60mil, so all members can buy special items.

Yes many beginners are a good idea to make some money to ship ... and not to grab and store in the bank because die .. +1  ;)

And how would it last 5 mintues. They just gotta walk over a few help pickups which take 1 - 2 mins not 5
