Title: Ammu wars
Post by: Gryphus_One on July 16, 2010, 05:46:15 PM
I see that one of the main reasons why some people wanna remove db and helikilling, is because they use to fight in Ammu wars and then the dbers/helikillers come and ruin their fights. So this may be an intermediate solution:

I rather have db and helikills then parallel worlds.

Why not paying for it? well, if you prefer to have db and helikill, then don't complain about them, nor make suggestions to remove those two things.

And one question, just to know: if while you are there, you could choose your weapons and have all of them with max ammo (like in the new duel arena), would you pay then?

Turn the idea around.

Pay to join a parallel world to db as much as you want, and those who want to get db'ed can pay and join as well. Problem solved.

Ofcourse this will never happen, but just to reflect the stupidity of the idea.

Btw, I already offered you to teach you how to fight, but you didn't say anything. You're not even trying to learn how to handle regular weapons. Probably you did it a few times, and couldn't keep up and eversince you are pissed off and db all the time. Like I said, just takes an hour but whatever. Please don't give stupid suggestions concerning db anymore.

Well, in fact I had also thought about separating dbers and on-foot-fighters in different worlds, but I haven't suggested it because it would work only if the server had many players (like 50 or 60 for example).

Apart from that, you say that my suggestion is bad, but actually it's similar to the new duel arena that has been implemented: virtual worlds, option to choose weapons, and max ammo. My suggestion has only two main differences with this new da: it would be a gang fight (instead of 1 vs 1), and in a complete SA map (not in an enclosed area, although actually the players would be always near Ammu).

Also, you try to make my suggestion look bad by turning it the other way round, but you fail for two reasons:
First, because Ammu wars consist in a few players fighting in a small area (near Ammu), whereas dbing is different: it consists in exploring the whole city searching for any random player, and if you took the dbers to their own world when the server has few players, it would be a complete SA map for only 5 or 6 dbers, which would look empty and boring. However, those 5 or 6 players in a parallel world for Ammu fights wouldn't have that problem, because they always concentrate in a small area.
And second, because you talk about dbers paying for their virtual world, but that has no sense: it's the regulars who want to get rid of the dbers and have THEIR PRIVATE FIGHTS with no interference. It's the regulars who always complains about dbers, but at the same time they are themselves the cause of the weak players doing db, so it's the regulars who have to pay a price for it. Also, you cannot demand a new player to pay a fee to db, because new players have almost no money, whereas regulars have much and they know all the ways to earn it.

Btw, I already offered you to teach you how to fight, but you didn't say anything. You're not even trying to learn how to handle regular weapons. Probably you did it a few times, and couldn't keep up and eversince you are pissed off and db all the time. Like I said, just takes an hour but whatever. Yes I know, but if I db instead of fighting on foot, it's not only because db is easier, but also because fighting on foot doesn't interest me at all. I like vehicles, and I like to do almost everything with them. GTA has always been based on vehicles, and this is one of the most important features that have made SA one of the best games of the History.

Also you say something that I cannot believe: Benny said that fighting on foot can be learnt in a week, but you take the exageration even further and say that it's possible in a hour. Well, I can tell you two why this is not true: you all agree with me in that dbing and flying Rustlers is easier than fighting on foot. However, nobody becomes an expert dber nor an expert Rustler pilot in a week so, how can anyone say that fighting on foot can be learnt in such a short time??

And last, db haters say that the dber is taking a shortcut and the easy way to kill, but actually it's just the opposite: the fighter on foot has taken FOR HIS OWN WISH the long and hard way. With that same logic, I may say that killing with any weapon is lame because it's easier than killing with fists, or that winning a race with a tuned Infernus is lame because it's easier than with a normal taxi. If the game offers some resources that can be used BY ANYONE (we are not talking about something that needs special skills nor a special mod nor anything like that), why do you renounce to that tool you have there, and call noob to the one who uses it?

Within an hour you can learn more then you think. Makes you a lot better then you're now. I've teached some guys how to use sawn off, and within minutes I saw good results they were very happy with it.

But anyway, this aint gonna work I'm affraid.

Well masterbeef, thanks for the offer, but as I said, I'm not interested in fighting on foot, the same way I can teach many players how to become a good Rustler pilot but they are not interested, and the same way they don't read a post when it's a bit long.
