Title: NEW EVENT THIS SUNDAY

PIRATE SHIP PLUNDER:
Two ships,
Two teams,
Last man standing.

That's right, two teams will start on two different ships BUT players will have to make a choice....kill the other ship players or their team first! This is LAST MAN STANDING!

Weapons:
Weapons will be given to players, with health and armour before the event starts
Weapons to include:
Grenades
Sniper
M4
and you own weapons!

Prize:
The winner is the last man standing from BOTH ships and will receive 1million and 10 grenades to use IN GAME

Time and date:
This Sunday (i hope**) 8pm GMT

Oh no need to sign up just turn up on the server around 8pm GMT (+0)

**I am moving on Monday and I am hoping all works out so I can use the computer on Sunday night. If i am not in game then I will change the time and date of the event. Hopefully this event will happen. Check this for updates.

Post by: [V]ACE on October 17, 2010, 04:04:16 PM: I think i have my CPU fan problem fixed (im hoping) So event IS on today at 8PM GMT (or around this time)

I will be using a system on the server which i am not fully used to so a couple of things:

Please do not use grenades against NORMAL PLAYERS they are for the event only!
The event may take time to get organised as im the only admin atm so please be patient
and YOUR color will change when i add you to he event so just ignore it.

Teams will be decided randomly and there will be a red and blue team.

See you guys around 8pm(ish)

Neon with a minigun killin of participants fucked up the winners and people being generally bugged.

So...this was a failure....

After my exams I will see about making this a more permanent thing in the script. What do you think about it occuring automatically as a regular thing once a week/fortnight or maybe just as a preset to the admin grouping system?

i had lot of fun last night, the event lured a lot of the regulars and the general atmosphere was nice so dont call it a fail. Most players enjoyed the pirate fight, they were released a bit toos oon, but they still had a fairly fair fight. It filled the server with more players thats for sure.
