Wireless connection or wired?

That was very trusting to install a random .reg file. Have you checked for malware?

Try using a UTP cable see if that improves it or not (you have to disconnect your wifi though).

I would also like to see a list of processes that you are running. It could be a program thats eating up your connection.

You also might want to try this out.

Check your background processes and close anything not necessary, that may help.

Ok

Reinstall your network / motherboard drivers.

Those are usually the problem.

Also i dont have xfire i find it useless.

With drivers i mean install the driver files for your network card (piece of hardware inside ur pc) and the drivers for your motherboard.

Sometimes when drivers are not installed the network card goes to a default or lowest possible setting. And since this is a new windows 7 installation its highly likely that this is the case.

Can you tell us the make and model number of your PC ? You can find those numbers on the back or bottom of your PC. (Do not give us your Windows validation key though that would be bad if you did)

And if you build the PC yourself tell us the Motherboard modeltype. And then ill find the correct drivers for you.
