In my oppinion the only way to get players back is a new script which is almost imposible.
-
like before?
impossible.
-
Indeed it is impossible. But I think the 2+1 Event should bring some old players back. However, most players now have a job and too busy to join and play. We need to bring new fresh players. Admins should online more often too because they're experienced and professionals so they can entertain other player easily.

Ye,i kinda agree with you guyz, but we will see...Thanks anyway! ;D

Wait for summer to come. :)

you cash really dont know how serious is thing,ha?

He's not entirely wrong. Many people in the target audience have holidays in summer, and they will increase their activity in this server.

Unfortunately a lot of the people who were around high school age when GTA:SA was in its prime, such as myself, are now graduating college and getting jobs in the "real world". That means no more summer breaks, ever. (Unless... unemployment! But that also sucks.)
One realistic way in which we could perhaps get more players is by implementing a few good ideas to make the game mode more engaging for new players just joining the server. I think it's a huge problem that frequently, when new players join, they run around a bit, get ganged up on by regulars, and then leave out of boredom or frustration within 10 minutes. Fortunately, though, this seems like a problem where minimal development effort (at least compared to rewriting the game mode completely) could go a long way.
One such idea I've had is that each new player, upon joining, would be given a random target to hunt down and kill, and upon successfully doing so, they'd be rewarded with cash. This would give them some sort of an objective to go for, which in turn would keep them playing for longer, and perhaps make them want to come back for more later. And, best of all, it feels relatively easy to implement, as it's pretty similar to the existing bounty system.

That's a very great idea. It really is.

Most of the old regulars is grown ups now, I'm sure they don't have time for this game anymore, even if they do, they'll not be as active as they did before. But, there's still some grown up players, that is still playing regularly. Respect <3

This is the major problem too. I don't like killing newbs ANYMORE. As most of the times I play, there's only newbies. If I kill them, I'm sure they'll leave. Still some of them tried to kill me eventhough i'm trying to make peace. But that's only natural.

I would love to see this feature in-game! They won't easily get bored doing nothing other than driving around and drive-bying. And hopefully it won't randomly choose AFK players pausing in interiors. That'd be suck. Would be great if this kind of feature implemented in the script!

I totally agree, a new script or just a script improvements, would be terrific. SAMP community is full of people, some servers do still get +200 players etc.. But nothing new or distinctive is attracting players to the LW's I guess.
Also, Chainer's idea sounds magnificent. +1

maybe.... ;) We just reached that wish! TODAY LW HAD OVER 170 PLAYERS. :D
But we gotta keep that wish as long as possible.

over 270*
