Guess it depends on what your using it for aswell. The processor im not too familiar with Intel processors only AMD but afaik i7 hyperthreading technology isn't useful ingames so i5 would be better maybe. Personally 16gb would be overkill for me I find 8gb as a nice sweet spot, 4gb onboard RAM is too little nowdays and minimizing out of games back to desktop can be sometimes painfully slow
The gfx card aswell maybe. Depends on what resolution your playing games in:- anything above 1920x1080 I guess you can justify the 4gb of memory but otherwise 3gb would do for me I currently have a 280x 3gb which does fine on all games at 1080 but then again you wanna future proof stuff as much as you can :P

Nice.

Non-k CPU with that motherboard seems like a bit of a waste. Individually all of the stuff is pretty solid for gaming or whatever else you're planning to do on it.

Ye hanney's right, that's more like a server.
I have an i5 4690k
RAM 8gb, video: gtx 660 gddr5 2gb
And I can run games at full, like dying light, arma 3, and some others.

Not a bad build, though I never honestly preferred Intels processors, so if I had been the one buying new comp, would've sticked to AMDs. The rest don't seem bad, actually will do a job. RAM of 8 gb is fine according to today's standards and needs.
