Hello,
i came back to play a little bit of SAMP and i noticed there was no evo clan around. i asked some former evo members and they told me evo was dead. so i did the one thing a good old LW player could do. i grabbed the eVo tag and founded a new one man clan. my plan was to roam around as evo doc mexico.
but as soon as i logged onto the server some people started to bitch and cry about my tag. they said that i wasnt allowed to use the evo tag even though the clan was dead. one of them even said that he wanted to resurect the clan and therefore i wasnt allowed to use that tag.
i think thats not right. the name evo is in no way protected. no one holds the rights to that name anymore (tecnically the former evo clan didnt hold the rights to that name either - but thats another story). i understand that me using that tag would piss an actual evo clan off. the fact is that there is no evo clan, who could be pissed off.
if you look at it from a neutral perspective, then i picked an abandoned clan tag and used it. therefore i should be entitled to wear that tag!
by the way: if you former evo members are so fond of your clan, then why is it all of you guys wear other or no tags?
AND most and important: all you LW clan guys are imposters because i founded the LW clan waaaaay before you guys were using that tag! the clan was just inactive ;-)
