Title: exactly how do you upload your own personal pic?

I've tryed using jpeg format, and giff and using my myspace url but none of it seems to work, when I choose the browse on file option I select my pic and click changes and it errors?

make sure ur pic isnt hugely oversized like a wallpaper or something then use somewhere like photobucket or http://www.uploadffs.com/ (what i mostly use) then mark the bit where it says

I have my own pic:
Specify your own avatar by URL. (ex: http://www.mypage.com/mypic.gif) etc

and paste the link there like: http://www.uploadffs.com/picture-name-here.jpg without any [img] tags etc
