Hey guys, I'm pretty-sure this ain't the right section, But I figured I'd post anyways.
If indeed this isnt the correct forum, Could an administrator or moderator move this post over to a support section or somewhere helpful techies could look over this? :)

So, I got SA:MP installed and running, Works fine, smooth and great.
Occasionally though, I seem to get this error,
"Data at 0x0008(something something, I'm not sure)a1 is being referenced at at 0x001841."
Please keep in mind that is not the EXACT error, As I do not have the window up rightnow, and cannot see the exact print, but its something similliar, and if you know how to fix this I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Windows-Vista.
Intel pentium dualcore @2.0GHz~
1790Mb Ram.
GeForce 7100/nVidia nForce 620i, And getting a smooth framerate.
-Could this error be caused due to internal files with the game? Is this a CD problem?
--Or is this error Hardware/Software based? - Could Vista be the problem??

And after it crashes my game, when I close SAMP I get this ~

i get the last error u've got, where it loops when u try to close the sa:mp bit, i just leave that open until i want to shut the machine down, and just shut it down without closing it.

Well I figured out how to fix that one.
Right click SAMP.exe >properties>Compatibility>Windows XP/SP2.

You have to set the compatibility mode with Windows 98 and it will work properly

yea but it took me about 2 hrs to get it to work with vista and as long as i dont get any bugs that'll prevent me from playing it im not gonna fiddle around with it

Have u tried the sa-mp.com support forums?

Just an idea, they should be able to help more.
Also, the error looping, just hold the "esc" button down, it will go eventually.
I used to get this error from time to time, i posted on a "tech forum" to find out about it. Its supposedly a "memoray/ram" error. Check "event log" for the exact error or what is causing the error (it should tell you if any software is conflicting with sa-mp/what is causing the error - mine was unfixable DAMN u ntl.dll ! lol).
Try changing compatitbility mode (remember what will work for one may not work for another), reinstalling, make sure u have correct "gta:sa version", make sure vista is running gta:sa:mp on duel affinity (happens to me when vista chooses not to do this).

I get the last error also but I just do Ctrl + Alt + Del and end one and it gets rid of all of them...
The Properties/Compatibilty/Windows 98 resolved it.. Thanks hasnt done it since.. ;)

I lied.. It works when I load and exit SA-MP but it wont let me join a server in that mode.. let me have a fiddle with compatibilty modes and report back..
I HATE VISTA!!!
..Ctrl+Alt+Del is the only solution ive come up with apart from restart but thats a pain..
