Title: jumpy frame rate
Post by: [Rabbie] on October 22, 2008, 05:08:01 PM
since re installing gta-sa and sa-mp i'm having a problem with my game.

its almost unplayable due to the frame rate, is this a gfx card issue? i tried to see if there was any updates for it but its saying i already have the latest updates  ??? ???

i have the settings in game the same as i had them b4 the re install but still have this problem. everything is mega jumpy and aiming is almost impossible as the screen is jumping all over the place.

any ideas or suggestions??

cheers, Rabbie. :)

never updated anything, had to do a complete system restore as the other half downloaded a virus fi limewire. then just installed samp and gta and its been like this ever since. could that be the problem? i might have ti install direct x again? the only things av downloaded are the windows auto updates.

lol i gave up on this after like a week wasted trying to fix it... just set everything to near minimum (including draw distance and resolution :o) and it'll go a lot better, it looks ugly as Michael Jackson on a bad day tbh, but its playable D:! also it might be sa-mp? as far as i remember single player was running crappy too, i'd try it now but i took out the disc to play stalker lol dunno where it is >_>

I fixed it by getting rid of my User Tracks.

i dont think there is. i dont know why u guys run samp on high settings even my other pc which can run crisis at max settings i run it on low i have found out that it makes the fps steadier. if your having fps problems try updating the drivers on your graphic card or updating direct X. idk if that will help but its worth a shot.

i think there might be problems with songs that are huge, like a 3 hour long 2 hour mp3 wont work :(

umm the people meant their tracks not SA's tracks/radio. and removing radio sound files gives lesser lag or ends up crashing.

Lol how'd you guys know I listened to Mozart?!

Well I only have a total of like 20 songs, I removed some but it doesn't seem to re-detect my songs, it only plays commericals and rarely it plays my songs D:
I think I might go back to rebuilding windows :D

If anyones got vista then try going to C:\Users\Public\Downloads\GTA:User files, etc...

My comp always makes 2 user track files for me with gta:sa (i think ones created for compatibility modes of somethink but idk) try putting sound files in there instead :D

also removal of user tracks does amazingly reduce lag, and increase fps! o.0 lol
