Cbug
« on: April 01, 2010, 04:07:06 PM »
Hey. Can somebody teach me how to use Cbug? Or tell me what buttons to arrange on my keyboard, for easiest use of Cbug? I dont have a gamepad. I've tried to use it, and its hopeless. I need a mentor.

I need to use Cbug because when a wild animal wielding tecs/sawns runs circles around me like he's on steroids, i really dont stand a chance. Its like a ghost. I cant even aim my cursor over him, because they move like a fucking panther.

enkei you gotta use WASD for movement, C or any key bellow WASD keys next to spacebar for crouch, and then mouse for aiming and shooting.

What you do is, you aim and shoot with a walking weapon (preferably deagle) and rapidly after shooting you let go of aim and press the crouch button. Now there's various techniques, but for starters try cbugging then running to another position repeatedly and cbugging again. You can also rapid fire, which is cbugging very quickly in one clip and without stopping, but it's not properly synced in 0.3 and quite hard to do when you're still having trouble learning the basics.
Try mixing it up, cbugging and running left or right. You can even practise this on singleplayer or alone on any server just to get the hang of it. I use /fpslimit 48 since the default is kinda slow for me. But whatever suits you really.

If you look for ww clan training servers you're bound to find someone willing to help you learn how it's done.

Oh and also, if you're up against someone rly skilled in rw, your chances of succeeding with walking weapons are slim, with or without cbug.
Hope this helped.

Ok, I use arrow keys to move though, and if i switch to WASD this late in the game, i'll lose all my racing talent. I'd like to stick with the arrow keys. Could i use the "0" on Numpad as C? And then RMB=aim and LMB=fire? Would that work? Because right now my "0" key is to fire, and my crouch key is "C" Lol. If a gamepad is easier, i'll simply buy one. What would you think is better?

Well if I were you I'd just use arrow keys for racing and switch to wasd while on foot. I've never used gamepad so I don't know if it's good or not. If you use arrow keys and start setting 0 as crouch then you'll find other problems because while fighting you might need to sprint, jump or use chat quickly.

I'm thinking about buying an isolated USB Numpad, and using that for ALL my controls. Vehicle & Foot. I think having them all consolidated (Besides the mouse) will make it alot easier, due to less travel across the keyboard. Aim, shoot, and Look Behind will be mouse. Although, in the vehicle, i hate when the LMB triggers nos. I'd rather it be a key.

I also use arrow keys. Just use 0 as crouch and your mouse to fire, it works good.
