Android? What should I know about it?

It is linux based but its completely different than what you use as an operating system on your PC or laptop.

Plus phones are more vulnerable to virusses than PC's Laptops etc etc with all the updates it constantly does, all the connections it can make through wifi hotspots etc etc because most phones hold more personal and private information than most PC's or laptops.

P.S. you didnt hear the word anti-virus you read it

Recently I read that there are even viruses which send premium sms, so that sucks... And you know, many people (including me) use some third-party applications or however it's called, you can't really make those safe :p
