As much as I do not agree with how someone goes about with his expression of himself, I do not think that public humiliation of a member of the community through a poorly edited video clip is necessary and even allowed.
I am unsure of whether or not LW forum allows such kind of a video clip, but I have, for now, edited the first post of this topic. However, I'd be glad to know if I could actually delete this entire topic and perhaps land 4kUM45 with a forum ban.
The punishment that I'm suggesting is indeed harsh, as the video clip may appear not at all humiliating, even smile-provoking to those who are callous towards what others feel. But I feel that such action should be necessary, to remind people that although this is the Internet, respect for the dignity of people, although some may portray characteristics worthy of a laugh and ridicule at times, should be upheld (unless the guy murders someone or whatever, but we're going too deep now).
