Need some doctor help!

Hey there fellow Littlewhitians

Thank you for viewing this topic as I am suffering from a serious cold. Doctors don't give shit about cold but only say "Wait for a week or two, it'll be gone" But I can't. It's seriously horrible. Some points I'd like to point out.

i) I'm dayum sleepy.
ii) My nose's blocked
iii) Throat Infection
iv) My cousin is to blame!(He passed me the virus)
EDIT:
v) I took an hot water shower., It has certainly got better, but not fully.
So, why I made this topic's because, I want you guys, who might have answers to everything, and help me cure cold in like 3 days or 4? I'm damn tired because of Diwali. So, hope you guys have something to share with me!

Thank you! But, I've already visited the site you mentioned, and It' the one which helped me a lot with my throat and the nose blockage. I've ordered a Clear Soup from a nearby fast food Restaurant.

As for the cure... Well take tea/coffee it'll help you in your "throat infection"... Take hot shower and dont go outside without proper jackets w/e u wear cuz its cold out there :-)

1. Get hot bath - 40 degrees minimum.

2. Dry out, drink hot tea.

3. Go sleep under tons of blankets.

4. Repeat.

You either cure either get temperature to stay at home.

                  Its same happened with me but in 2 day it was gone.
I try these,
1- I take a tablet (name Panadol-cold-flu,short name Panadol-CF)
2- When i take tablet  then i sleep for 25-30 mints without Fan,AC etc like these.
3-Before taking this tablet you ask your doctor   information about this tablet.I don't know about the side effects.

One major thing that has not been mentioned here yet which I also think is very crucial in order to beat an ordinary flu fast:

Do not take any fever-reducing medications (such as the Panadol you mentioned) to suppress the fever.

Why?

Fever is your body's own defense mechanism against viruses and bacteria and its function is to get rid of the cause of the illness by triggering the immune response and preventing viruses and bacteria from replicating, thus making it beneficial to the healing process. By taking medications to bring your fever down, all you do is constantly interrupt the natural healing process and it will take you longer to fully heal. Surely drugs will make you feel better temporarily, but with the ease comes a big downside. Your choice.

Obviously this does not work if it's something more than a minor illness and your body wouldn't be able to handle it on its own anyway. But like I said, if it's just ordinary cold, just let the fever run its course. I've done this for around 4 years now and not once has my flu lasted more than 1 or 2 days.
