There are mods that only remove the trees leaves and not remove the tree as an object

Anything that gets you advantage over other people is punishable and will get you banned absolutely. I wouldn't install that "Tree mod" or whatever it's called if i were you. However, textures for weapons/vehicles that change the general looks of your SA are allowed.
