Here's my two suggestions:

• I hope the status of the player that joins the server can be shown in joining messages, for example, if someone is using a new nickname then it'll announce a message: A new player is joining the server, register required.. and if someone is required to log in by hand, then it'll announce a message: (playername) doesn't fit the old data, login required, etc. I think in this way can we better recognize people.
• I hope we can get back the old style of kill messages, what I want to emphasize is the color, blue, the commonly used color over the server for announcement, now it's also used for kill messages which makes me kinda uncomfortable, also I don't think it'd be something that needs much effort.

The first one is a good idea. Never seen it in this game.
But I have to disagree with you in the second suggestion. I prefer the classic style

1) I don’t think you need to recognise people, we admins check their alias when it’s necessary.

2) I personally like this suggestion and probably I suggested it too, but the point is, a lot of effort is required to go back to old style messages whereas it’s outcome is nothing. So it’s not worth it to waste developer’s time on such a task.

I need when it comes to the case that my old friend comes to the game, I don't have access to checking one's aliases like you admins thus I've no idea whether he's the real one or not, because the un-logged player can even talk in this server
