Hellow LW ppl,
The script is almost finished, except for some possible bugs, but were working on that.
I will explain a little how it will work and then you guys can comment or give ideas that i an change/add some of the ideas before its out there.
The beginning:
Every now and then a message will appear in public chat that there is a new package at the depot south east of LV next to the train rails, ull find it easily.
There u can then pickup the package but there are few criteria u have to meet before you can transport the package:
1) Your vehicle has to be big enough to carry the weight of the package (ranging from 1 kg/l/unit to 10 000).
2) When the package is too big for a normal vehicle, you might need a truck AND trailer to transport
3) A package of 1kg can be picked up and transported by foot, packages larger then 1kg have to picked up by a vehicle.
3) You have to able to pay the penalty cash in advance before you can pickup the package. When succeeding this money is payed back + the reward for transporting
The mission:
When your transport mission begins you are maked and a message in the public chat will say that you are transporting, so ppl who want to rob you know where to look. Also a timer is running on your screen so you know how much time is left before the deadline finishes.
If nothing else happens and you reach your destination in time, the penalty is payed back + your reward, calculated based on the weight, distance and type of good transported.
However things can turn for the worst if you are transporting valuable goods wich other players want to steal and sell for money. The following situatiopns can occur for the transporter:
1) You die: Missions ends, the package is left in the car
2) The vehicle is destroyed: packages larger than 1 kg cant be taken out of the car and are destroyed along with the vehicle. Mission ends and the package is gone.
3) Your vehicle gets jacked: If u manage to retrieve the vehicle and package you can still finish the mission. If however your time limit doesnt allopw you to jack the vehicle back in time the mission will end like a normal time out. The package remains in the jacked car.
Stealing packages:
The following situations can occur for a player who is not transporting:
1) Player kills the transporter: If the package was 1kg and carried by the transporter himself, you get the mopney straight away. If the package was largern than 1kg the package will still be in the vehicle.
2) Player jacks the vehicle/trailer of a transporter: This player can now search the vehicle/ trailer for packages (/sv or /st ) and thereby starting a stealing missions. If a package is found the player can now bring this package to a central location in LV and sell it for a however lower price than the original reward. As long as the vehicle/trailer containg the package is not destroyed or emptied at delivery location, the package remains in that vehicle and can be picked up by any player who is not on a transporting mission to sell it.
3) Whenever enetering a vehicle, it doesnt hurt to search the vehicle/trailer for any packages left behind and sell it for money. You never know u might find a van full of drugs.
A transporting mission can also be ended by the transporter by typing /ct (cancel transport)
After searching the car you can still end the stealing mission by typing /cs (cancel stealing)
When a transport mission is finished (no matter what reason) a new package will be created at the depot. This means, 1 transport mission at any given time, but finding, stealing and selling packages can be done at any time when given the opportunity.
Important Rules:
For gameplay reasons the value of a stolen package will be bigger then the penalty(unlike i said before to avoid abuse). However i would count on players not to abuse this and if they do so, consequences will follow. Keep the following rules in mind:
1) NO stealing fake transport missions by teaming up. This would result in net gain of money without having to do actual transport missions.
2) NO camping at depot, let them at least get out of depot before jacking or attacking them.
I guess this is about how it will woprk for now, changes can still be made, if you have any comments or ideas to make the script better or more interesting please post them here.
The goods and locations will be kept secret for now to not spoil the fun of discovering the diversity of the missions, but if u think u have a great idea on what and to where to transport something, feel free to post it here and maybe itll be added, but i wont talk about any of that in here.
