There are 3 ways to go up chiliad, a main one which splits into 2 ways, a long one, and a short one, and another one that starts earlier, but is very narrow and small and will lead to the long main route. For trucks i'll always suggest the long main track, that is going right upwards after angel pine, the a sharp turn left 180° (where there is a collision bug on the right side) which leads to the main routes, some meters further will be a wooden fence at the left, while after that the short but difficult route will start upwards at the right side. Driving straight however gets you to the long road, going to the forrest where the forrest hut is located (you once had to kill and photograph the dead body of some guy there for the C.R.A.S.H.-cops (Tenpenny 'n folks) in singleplayer) and right up the fucking mountain, then somewhere up there the two routes will join each other again leading on one path up to the top.
The best when trucking up Mt. Chiliad is following these guardlines:
1st: drive dead slow.
2nd: never turn a curve at full speed nor while pressing forward, always release the gas before turning, and only use it to prevent the truck from rolling back.
3rd: often you can't take one curve at once, simply stop, set some meters back straight (CAREFULLY!) and turn again.
4th: stay as far away from walls as possible, so as near as you can to the edge, to prevent running into collision bugs.
5th: hold a security distance from the truck before you of at least 3 truck-lengths.
6th: if the truck in front of you brakes, you do too.
7th: NEVER try to overtake another truck.
8th: going down the mountain: dont use the gas, just brakes, and drive dead slow, use the brakes CAREFULLY!
9th: going down the mountain: always brake down to almost full stop before curves
10th: going down the mountain: if two trucks opposite on the way, the truck comming DOWN the mountain ALWAYS has priority. The truck going UP has to WAIT.
