Shop System
Continuing with the
Economy System - You can now buy and sell items at shops!
You can also rent your own shop and sell your items with any prices you like.
Additional commands:
- Type
/ushop tutorial - will give you a book explaining everything and how to do it.
How to rent your own shop:
- Visit the Cobbletown Market and pick which shop you would like.
- Ask an admin to set the trust permission in that shop area.
- Once the admin has trusted you in your shop area you can build anything you want in there!
- You can technically have a shop anywhere you want on the map if you don't want to have one in the market.
How to make your shop
Building a shop is very simple! All you need is a
stick and a
slab of any choice:
- Put the slab on the ground and right click it with the stick.
- Select the item in your inventory that you want to sell and click on it.
- Select the price that you want to sell it for and the price that you buy it for.
- Click Confirm and you are done!
Shop Menu
Once you click on the slab you can do many different things to manage your shop:
As a customer you can:
- Click the
gold bar to buy the item that's for sale - it will show you price and how much is in stock.
- Click the
silver bar to sell this item to the shop for the price specified.
- Click the
paper to see how much money you currently have.
- Click the
box to see who owns this shop.
- Click the
sign post to see a little note from the seller.
- Click the
bookcase to see the last activity from this shop.
Your money will be sent straight to the seller.
As a shop owner you can:
- Click the
minecart chest to put stock into the shop - hold shift to add bulk stock.
- Click the
minecart hopper to remove stock.
- Click the
minecart to change the rate - this is how many of the item the player will buy in one go. E.G: buying a stack of items or just one single item.
- Click the
redstone to modify the shop.
- Click the
sign post to view your shop as a customer.
How to sell items
Once you have placed down your slab and clicked on it with a stick you will be shown a menu:
From here all you need to do is select the item in your inventory that you wish to sell - it can be any item.
For this example I will select the 5 arrows, once you have selected your item, the menu will change to this:
From here you can edit your item to be sold by doing the following:
- Click the
green button to set the selling price - left click to add and right click to decrees the price.
- Click the
red button to set the buying price.
- Click the
yellow button to set the quantity of how much the customer will buy - E.G: buying a stack of items or just one single item.
- Click the
blue button to change the rate in which you can increase or decrease the buying and selling price - You don't need to keep clicking to increase or decrease, just press this to change the rate.
- Click the
star to confirm your shop and you are ready!
If you are online you will receive a message and the money instantly. If you are offline you will receive the money once you log back in.
Remove your shop
You can remove your shop by hitting it with a stick and clicking on
Destroy Shop - it's as simple as that! - any items will be returned to you.
Visit the starter shop at /spawn for basic items for sale!
Cobbletown Market
We have added a Market to Cobbletown - This building has 18 shops available to be rented. It currently has 2 open shops already available to be used!
