It might be that less people join the server because map upload doesn't work anymore? (a lot of people use to upload maps, try them on the server with other people to see if it is liked and then might stick to the server).

Oh and I hated SAMP too. Only liked the parachute jumping.

According to http://www.game-monitor.com/mta_GameServer/85.17.19.181:22003/littlewhiteys_MTASA_Server_gta-host.com-History.html things are actually a *bit* better - and that's even with me being completely inactive for a long while now. Impressive. Still it's not good, but it's about what we can hope for. The server will probably never return to anything remotely approaching what it was before ASE died. :(
