Announcement: rule updates
As there has been quite a bit of confusion about the areas of application of certain rules, we have decided to post this announcement to clarify the open questions that have occured in the recent weeks.
The 'baseball bat bug'Since 0.3.7, players are now able to damage players inside property checkpoints and on casino tables.
Killing players inside
property checkpoints is
allowed.
- the property system was never designed to make the players invulnerable.
- both claims of baseball bat bug abuse and death evasion have been fixed and are now obsolete.
Killing players gambling on
casino tables is still
not allowed.
- you can report players who damage you while you're playing on the casino table.
- gambling on a casino table is not considered death evasion.
/kill to avoid death/kill to avoid death was shortly forbidden during the launch of LVDM v3, because of missing moneydrops and database features. Since the revert to v2.9, using /kill is
allowed at all times with the following
exceptions:
You may not spam /kill to teleport around the map or modify your stats. This behaviour falls under the command spam rule and is
not allowed.You may not use /kill to avoid losing a bounty on your head. This behaviour falls under game exploits and is
not allowed.
abuse of door protectionIn the recently upcomming house wars, a lot of players have been reported for 'abusing the door spawn protection to avoid death'.
These reports are
false, leaving and re-entering an interiour before being killed is
allowed.
Camping outside people houses nevertheless
allowed.
