The DB is beeing abused, and we must do something about it, because is one of the things that is fucking up this server. I'm not against the DB, because is a part of the game, but most of the players are abusing it nowdays.
The most annoying thing is when they dby you until 50 hp, and then they top you off with the sawns, and if not enough they laugh in your face. I often fight somebody, and when he has about 50-80 hp left, he gets into a car and db me. That is soooo lame, it plain disgusts me!  That makes me leave the server after 20 minutes of playing.
There are players who DB just to deffend theirselfs, but most of them are using it to take advantage or to finish a fight.

My suggestion to make it decrease somehow is the following: Limit the amount of bullets when you get into a vehicle to 100-200.
Well, What do you think? Will this work?

Hmm, I think I like what FireFly said, but make it so that if you do DB, you lose all your HP. Would be interesting.

ppl who db ur armour and most of ur hp then get off the bike and fight are annoying to say the least :p if it were possible id have equal damage done to both ppl (person on bike, person being db'd)

ideally id like to see db kill = reset money, weapon ammo set to 10% of what it was until respawn and -5 kills/+5 deaths for stats

Even when getting into a vehicle and having the bullets reduced to 100-200 (as you suggested) would still mean that those 100-200 could still kill you. To be honest, I don't see any rules or implementations about this. This suggestion will most likely not happen.

Would be great to prevent the drive by, but as you said, is part of the game, and you should be able to avoid it,try getting on a roof or something else.

Drive by is annoying indeed, but I can live with it. The new annoying thing that regulars learned, that if your in a fight and a car is near, they press "enter" so in my screen their about to get in car and as you know, most people then stand infront of the car to shoot through the window of the car and just when their about to enter the car they run away so they teleport in my view like few meters away from the car and then shoot me with sawnoff. Happened to me like 20 times in the past 1 week. What's up with laming these days?

perhaps impossible to disable db completely, but if our scripters could add a -1 to ur stats from db they can add other measures to stop it in the server. Either way i still say db is part of the game, every1 does it, every1 moans about it.

Drive-by isn't "part of the game" since the game was never meant to be a multiplayer game. It's basically a low end cheat, giving people noreload and autoaim and then they have the car/bike to give them further protection. Ruins the game in to many ways but there are to many people here on LW who find it hard to live without.

Yes. I really like your idea, DB annoys me too. i want an end of this.
Why not just script the players weapon to fist when they enter car?
in that way it would be impossible to DB.

(If this script is possible, or else any other solution to be unable to use SMG's)

I think it is possible but from what I know you can still DB like that, just not on your screen. You can appear to be DB'ing on someone elses screen
