[I]About Rules Dialog
« on: April 26, 2010, 04:45:48 AM »
Newbies mostly put "i Dont Accept" or w/e the Cancel key is and..
<CuddleMoffin>* way (ID:3) has been kicked by -LWBot- (ID:1000) for Not agreeing to rules.

well, i think when the newbies use cancel key a new dialog should pop up saying "If you do Dont agree with the rules you will be auto kicked. Are you sure you want to Continue?" "Yes" "No!"

It would be a bit odd for new players to purposely not agree to our rules and those players who can't read English may still click the wrong button in the second dialog.

Translations are being worked on.

Oh just instead of "I don't agree" make it "Quit", everyone who have ever used a pc will know that he shouldn't click quit :P

In fact I don't know why you the staff spent some time and efforts in scripting that dialog instead of keeping it like it was before...

They added it so the people would read it gryphus. And they would feel the spanking they would get if they break the rules instead.

This. You have to interact with it rather than you join the server, disappear for x seconds and you wouldn't have noticed the rules.

Not only that but it has benefits internally, it's flexible (easy to edit -- reads from a file, reads as formatted), it's cleaner code in the source (simpler -- multiple undertermined amount of textdraws have to be created to have a decent amount of text), oh and the text draw was possibly one of the causes of text draw bugs.
