Well, that's your(or anyone else who agrees with you) opinion, you go ahead and refer to SAMP but Nx is referring to the whole gaming community. Nx will die when the leaders make it official, not when others say or think it's dead.
And yes, we're still alive if we play another game and wear the tag. As I said before, Nx doesn't refer to SAMP, it may have been born in SAMP but we don't need to be active in SAMP to be alive.
