True what if we unban everyone and if they get banned again they stay banned.

Sounds crazy for most people but +1, why not give it a try. Bring back the action.

Forgive yes is right here ... some nice race or event, I would say that would attract more players. Too few days racing today .. maybe 8-9 admins online and no event or race

In my personal opinion, yes -- well at least for the first offence. 6 months is a VERY long time. The person may change within that time.

The idea of permanently banning someone for cheating for the 1st time just assumes that they will cheat again, so they should be removed always. We can't mind read though so how do we know if this person made a mistake and didn't intend to harm other peoples enjoyment of the game? They may have just been some casual gamer who didn't understand the competitive gamers and thought they'd fly a car.

6 months is such a long time. If anyone did stick around after that 6 months then I'd have to make a personal assumption that they're very loyal to the server.

Exactly but if they get banned and get unbanned in 6 months and cheat again then no unban id say.

Yes I also think we shouldn't be so harsh with some cheaters, because this server is too difficult and it's partly logical that some new players want a small handicap to balance the game. The most common cheat (or at least one of the most common ones) before, when we spawned only with deagle, was the weapon cheat, and I think it was easy to understand in that moment (but not now).

Although with this, I'm not saying that we should let them cheat freely, but maybe a second chance or something would be ok.

I coud bring here like a 50 of ban apeals in there a people who cheated just for fun like
they wanted to just give it a try and teribly regreting this and they got an DIENIED
i am for the max ban time 6 months for a cheater....like theres this dude that i see always
wants to join the server and gets kicked for "atemt to login on a banned acount"

Yea.. imagin all of them unbanned the server would have alot more players on.

I think cheaters should be given a 2+ month ban and then given a second chance, if they cheat again after they are unbanned it should be permanent. If the player is a regular who decides to cheat we could maybe treat them differently (since they knew the consequences of cheating)

Also for evading, we shouldnt instantly ban someone permanently for evading a ban, since players often evade to try and find out why they were banned.

Im not sure about this. A few years ago LW was full of cheater. Now it has a great anticheat system and most of them got banned, I hardly ever see a cheater (I see ppl getting banned by bot). But maybe you are right, there are many ppl who said for example that it was their brother or smth. Probably most of them are lyers, but some may be honest.

Maybe I haven't understood this very well but, when you ban someone, don't you tell him why he is banned? and if you don't, do you really think that the banned player has no right to at least know why he has been banned?
