I like the idea of it being available in the special shop as a spawnknife for a low price, just like the parachute.

yep but since 0.3 players are never desynced, only due to knife or special stuff. So if someone does get desynced by knife they can just /sync.

yep but since 0.3 players are never desynced, only due to knife or special stuff. So if someone does get desynced by knife they can just /sync.

You said players are never desynced but said they desync due to knife? :P If they're still desyncing due to knife then I say no, a player won't know if they're desynced so how will they know when to use /sync?

I mean desync in the sense that it isn't caused by knife, it's not caused it just happens in 0.2x. Now there's only a few ways to trigger a player being desync and knifing is the most common. You can know if a player has knifed you on his screen if he isn't taking hits and you can guess it if the other player has been punching in the air with a knife close to you. If knives are implemented though I'd like that /sync can only be done every 30 seconds instead of every 4 minutes, because if someone knife syncs you once and you sync out of it, in 4 minutes you can easily get knifed again.. Also make it so that if you do /sync or /stop or any animation it takes a few seconds to take effect, so that people can't evade getting knifed.

It's easy to state to do /sync when you know about the command, but what about the new player who just wonders why the hell he isn't doing damage?

Do you really want more possible reasons to type /sync?

What if the dude starts shooting you but you can't fire back, you're more likely to die if you're standing still typing /sync

I don't understand why you'd want an extra way to be desynced implemented. I've always been under the assumption that people wish desync and lag would just disappear.

You're making the decision to open back up more desync possibilities, this has always been the reason why the knife is not in the server. If the knife did not cause desync at all then it would've been in the server since day 1.

Well the knife desyncing every know and then is compensated by it being such an awesome weapon, if used correctly it's very useful.
