Mmmm I dunno what to say about this: the simplest change would be just increasing the amount of money you earn per second, for example from 25$ to 100$. Implementing a proportional formula is a two sided weapon: if the money you earn is, as you suggest, proportional to what you already have, it's true that the richest players will go there to earn more money and then other players can kill them, but as Hazard said you are making the rich even richer, unbalancing the game even more. If by the contrary, you earn more money when you are poor and less when you are rich, then you have a more balanced game but the richest players will never go to the ship...

Rich are rich already, it's really not a big difference 2kk or 5kk (bank full). And the objection of killing a guy with 2,5kk in his pocket ::) mmm lovely.

Interesting, it should be inversely proportion to the number of players on the ship which is then scaled up depending on the amount of players on the server (so players don't join the server in a quiet time and sit there earning loads of money)..

Why do I think that? Circle jerk zones for free cash are uninteresting and uninspired, in order to earn extra money you have to "dominate" the ship or "dominate" it with a friend (since it's inversely proportional, that'd mean you'd share the earnings)..

A summary of changes you want

well,I have think this too many times,but never posted a topic.I think that it would be better to increase the winning/sec of staying at pirate ships,coz nobody is staying there,even the new players r finding it boring,while u can make money much faster with another things.You can make there a teritory,and which gang owns the teritory wins(for example)1000$ regulary(for each gang member).I have culculated that to make 63,000 $ at pirate ships u must wait 42 minutes,when u can easily go and take (for example) chetah and export it.So I think this must be changed. :)

Advantages

There would be more fight in that area,the new players would be happy,etc

Disadvantages

The money would lose its efect,i mean everybody would have money

Please, it's like if a no-reload cheater said that he got banned unfairly because he didn't have the chance to shoot any player yet.

Yeah I agree in that the amount of money earned on the ships MUST be increased, but I don't know whether it's better to make it proportional to other factors (like the money you already have or the number of players) as proposed in BikeDriver's suggestion, or simply to increase the amount of money per second with no extra formulas, as suggested in this thread.

I agree.  I think it'd be helpful and make it easier for newer players to gain money more quickly, along with making it more challenging.
