I had a look at sa-mp.co.uk etc and most of the things i see is people complaining bout the lack of the old forum. Well.. my 2 cents on this: LMFAO !! BS !!
I don't give a fu**ing damn about the old forum tbh (sure it was a nice place and all, but it doesnt really effect the playing on samp itself). In my opinion the major problem is the missing official server list!
I am totaly surprised that most people still didn't seem to realize, that we have about 50 percent less players on almost any of the official servers (lw, lvp, nov, gamerx etc... you name em). What is an major change in "gameplay" (bad term maybe) in my honorable opinion. To be honest, i cant be arsed to play on lw at prime time with about 50 people on. It's just a bit boring to me (San Andreas map is just way to big for an amount of only 50 players). Same goes for other (formerly filled with 100-150 players) servers which are only like a shadow of themselves anymore.
We definitely need the official server list back up (yes, i know i got no rights at all to "demand" that.. again, i just stated my opinion)!
SA:MP really isn't the same these days!

IMHO LW's is going to die off if the server stays off the official tab. I haven't seen people like Foxhound or other super regulars on because of this.

It's like a paintball field. The reason being, once the regulars food supply (AKA noobs) is cut, then they have no one to hunt, hence they start getting bored and leaving.

OTOH, lots of annoying regulars seem to have lost the way to the server already. Can't say I miss those

About the unofficial forum, it has 4233 Posts in 309 Topics by 408 Members. In just 3 days, that's beyond amazing.
They came up with a (ok, still buggy) loader.exe for the client so the adress for the masterserverlist can be changed. If the
word spreads about that and people start using it, the community basically removed kye's influence on the most important
thing: the masterserverlist. I don't think it will ever be the same though.

Besides, everyone is talking about they miss this or that etc, but no-one talks about Alex, the owner of LW, and the guy
who actually pays for our fun. I honestly feel sorry for him for what has happened.

The problem is... Your host. With the expense of the server will the owners be bothered to keep it running? Or will it just be pointless for them?

This is what needs to be done. Players need to advertise the server and get it into people's favourites, if you visit other forums then put the server IP in your signature.

"me needs a gang!" and who can forget "oooooo where to get hacks?" but they'll come back...until gta4 comes out in which case they'll just play it  (thats, what 5 days now or something...?)

It was fun...

Anyway, LWs really died after the big Outlawz-W war back in '07 where i was in Iraq! /yay ! Then all the good ol' clans like MOB and Strength in Numbers and the rly old SiN/MOB/R/S and Friends / MOB and Friends gangs disappeared/died/fell apart.

I should do a History of Littlewhitey's post when i get home.. lol.

im sure not everyone will get GTA 4. Some can't afford, some don't have correct console, some don't want, some cant get parents to get it. Im waiting for PC and even then... Im a San Andreas player for life. i didn't even like GTA 3 or vice city to be honest. I just liked the ghetto and glamour feel to San Andreas. and the freedom!

You got a point there.
However, these 408 members (around 450 now, i know) are not the people i'm talking about, the ones missing on the official servers. So even tho they are working on some new kind of official list, the "random standard noob" will never know of it / have access to it, cause they don't even know sa-mp.co.uk (hope you get what i mean). Therefore i doubt this "loader.exe" will change anything.
Still, samp dont seems to be the same anymore these days.

Well i don't know about his opinion on this, but i see my own "disappointment" about the current situation (and i'm just a usual "customer-guy", not the owner who is paying for all this, so we can have fun). Therefore i have to totally agree with you on this Morphrix. I guess i'd be pretty frustrated in his stead.

Let's see how this continues.. nothing else to do i guess.

You mean LW?.... The one who has supplied countless good servers for the masses and done one hell of a job doing it. LW will prolly keep for a long time, but he might not... but hell its not costing much as (correct me if im wrong) he owns the company he hosts it on

Hmm sorry, but your really confusing me right now. The master server list has never been down for me. I was talking bout the official server list the whole time.

Ok, my mistake. I checked the internet-tab in the client last monday and it was empty. Then I found
the unofficial forum and thought kye took everything down. Didn't check the internet-tab again until
this morning and saw it was filling up so I made the post. If the masterserverlist was up all the time I
kinda don't understand the need for a loader.exe other then to really piss some1 off.

Well it's weekend.. let's see what kinds of amounts of players the "popular servers" will reach.

GamerX is almost full now, 145 players. LVP is pretty stable at 60-70 players but they have their
own forum and hardcore playerbase. Last monday when all other former official server were almost
empty they still had 50 players. I think LW's could profit from a namechange that makes it stand
out compared to the other server names.

Maybe something like "Littlewhitey's Freeroam DM server"? Just guessing here... (although it had 80
players 1 hour ago which is pretty good considering they raised the max players to 150 less then 2
months ago)

"Little" Update:
I just had a look through my favorite list in the samp browser and was surprised by the big amount of players right now on LW (around 140). I wasn't expecting anything, but i still clicked the official tab.. just to have a look.
Guess what.. i found one (!) server on it.. LW.
I got no clue why it is like this, but i hope at least LW stays there so the nubs (we all missed so much) find their way to us.
