No man, don't remove hk!!!! it's fun to chase hkers with Rustlers. :)
Also, hk requires high skills to be performed, so you can't use the excuse of "lame and cheap killing".
And it's true that in real life nobody does hk, but Samp is a game whose main feature is the freedom to play the way you want, and LW is already a server in which you cannot enjoy many Samp's features, so don't remove another!!!

Weren't you one of the main guys wanting hk to be removed.

Lol me? no, never!!! I have always defended hk, despite of not being an hker myself.

You can easy avoid a helikill.
at north ammunation? i don't think so...if you often stay there (and most of players do) fighting someone, you won't realize when a heli is coming to chop you, as Murder said...
Getting helikilled can be even funny sometimes, but not when you're fighting on foot and every 2 minutes comes an helikiller to slay you while you were duelling someone in the streets :/

a good solution would be the one suggested by Murder, that is at every kill the helicopter receives a damage of some hp (that can be half of the total or whatever)

examples?

Hydras, Hunters, Vortexes, Seasparrows, RC cars, RC Barons, jetpacks, miniguns, grenades, molotovs, flamethrowers, rocketlaunchers, spraycans, fire extinguishers.

Funny how when other people suggest stuff like hidden blips for example you say "but what about the poor noobies they will be abused!" but now you mention all these overpowered weapons and you don't say anything about the noobies being abused by these.

He wants to remove all the good stuff (all benefits of being registered and making money) because noobs might have an 'unfair' disadvantage. Which is crap because everyone has equal chances. Don't turn shit around because you're just too lame to learn other stuff besides flying a rustler. You turn the gamemode into gaymode when you remove all fun stuff because you don't want people to become too good at what they do and they can't do shit with their money. Like a hidden blip, it's NOT unfair because people earned the money to buy the blip. The concept is: die, die and die again (or survive) and eventually you have gained skills and a filled bank and some friends who you can play with. But ofcourse Gryphus doesn't need to do anything like that he does everything the other way around and everyone should play the game according to his 'vision'. We should pet new players and hug them and give them stuff like free money.

Ontopic, I agree there are too many choppers around Las Venturas. You can find 2 Mavericks on the LV airport, there's one on the strip, one on the roof near police dept and one on the roof of Vrock hotel. So that's 5 mavericks all within reach in about 2 minutes. So to remove 2 of them wouldn't be bad, I suggest to leave the other choppers (transporters I forgot the name) because they're too heavy to make fast helikills, could be challenging for those who insist to do helikills :P

That explains gryphus all the way ^^

There is no point voting about this because ultimately its their (management, and other important scripting admins) decision, and thats the only thing that will get implemented. Which i dont think is bad because as they say "They earned it!"

What is funny is how you get things out of context: I'm against hidden blips because they would be too expensive, so only rich regulars could afford it while poor newbies couldn't, meaning that the game would be even more unbalanced than how it is already now. However, when I suggest all those "overpowered" weapons and vehicles, I suggest them to be in duel arena, minigames, parallel worlds or mapped islands that would be separated from the main dm world and that everyone could join freely. For this very same reason, I'm not against hidden blip for racers as long as it's given to all of them.
But believe me that if someone ever suggested a buyable Hydra in the main dm world, I would be totally against it.

looooooooooooooooool
yeah, he always forgets everybody started as a newbie, and seems that nowaday for newbies everything must be easy or they won't be able to go on...man, if they never earn things on their own, they will never become good players, this is the point.

anyway Gryphus, i don't get why reading your posts it seems like i'm always reading the same one...you always repeat yourself, but we ain't that idiots trust me, there's no need to say thousand of times the same things.. please spare us :/

[...]

You turn the gamemode into gaymode when you remove all fun

LOL, me removing all the good stuff and all the fun?? it's indeed me who wants the server to implement a wider variety of things to do!!! but of course not at the cost of unbalancing the game even more.

Like a hidden blip, it's NOT unfair because people earned the money to buy the blip.

Yeah sure, so if one day you work in real life and your boss exploits you like a slave, it will NOT be unfair because hey, he earned that position!!! or if one day a judge decides to jail you for no reason, it will NOT be unfair either, because he earned his job too!! and so on and on...
And when someone tryied to stop all of that, your boss and the judge would say "he wants to remove the benefits of having a good job"... ::)

Gryphus, I've made this scheme to show you how the system works.

                                                                      ^  (easy)
                                           ______________|
________--------------------                              | ease of making money
newbie      random regular        regular          |
                                                                          (hard)
--------------------------------------------------------->
START                                                              FINISH!!!

As we all know it's good to have money, as it gives us opportunities, that poor people just... don't have. So from the graph you can easily notice, that regulars have an advantage above newbies, wich is the ease of making money, cause they know the server. You can't change it. Life will always be easier for those, who are experienced.

HOWEVER, what you can also find out by analysing the scheme, every single one of us started as a newbie, and made his name to the point, that is named "FINISH", what made him a regular... What is more, 99,9% of those consider it as a normal and only one possible way of existing. Where the 0,01% (approximately) is you!

Sorry man, but FINISH has to be better than START. Otherwise people won't get to the finish, cause for what?

I agree, that this progress is now quite difficult, though. But believe me, that the START is much easier now, than it was a while ago. The problem is lack of things reasons for regulars to fight each other, and I hope it will be sorted out in the next version. Thats my opinion at least ;)
