Well u can never prevent a single player to be negative, u cant rly change it if someone feels bad about something, u never know what human being is behind a player, you can never prevent one player to drive others mad. We all have problems, and we all feel good or bad from time to time. A human being simply cant always be positive, like there are bad times, there are also good times.

The best we can do about it is to be positive ourselves, to spread good feelings, and to help other players.

Anyways nothing bad in playing in a nother server from time to time in my opinion, i think u can name that only a 'gamer's midlife crisis', which happens from time to time. And as long as u always come back to your first and only love LWs, its all ok

Anyways sry for the TL;DR post, and i guess u anyways knew all i wrote before, but my english is still only simple and narrow, not very usefull in discussions like this.

I wish I could speak english as good as you do. On topic: a little flaming is not that bad, as long as it doesnt touch someone personally, "your mum/sister/dog is..." and is not racist and stuff (my opinion), however I can live without it as long as Im not really raged, what happens hardly ever.
What I would like to see rather than lack of flaming is respect for other players. People say gf only to their friends/clanmates today. That sucks. Saying "gf" after you won a fight shows that you really came here to have fun, not to call people laggers and faggots. Of course saying "GF" after you've totally owned someone has no sense, it should be reserver for real good fights, and I think it should depend on the winner whether it was a gf or not (means that loser shouldn't say gf first, unless he was really, really fucking close to win).

Today I see more "ez" than gf, what drives me crazy, even if it's not directed at me. I don't know why, I just consider it as showing a nonrespect - you not only say that the player sucks, but you are also too lazy to say something longer. Two letters, how annoying? I dunno maybe it's just my personal feeling...

So more "gf"s, less "ez"s I think it will improve the fun on LW's A LOT, especially for newbies.

 Newbie will get owned by a regular, thats for sure. If he stays quiet,  regular won't say anything too, but if he is talk active, most of the players will like to tell him that he is ez. More gfs for newbies, and who knows, maybe they will like the atmosphere, feel respected and stay

Oke Ive been thinking about the negative point of view on LWs. Heres what I calculated.

I think there is lots of negativity in sevrer becouse "LWs lovers" are negative. And they are negative in a way they are crying almost 2 goddamn years about the "old days". So,Im saying is that everyone is crying about those "good old days on LWs" and noone ever looked in the future or todays of LWs. Yes,I was active back in 2008 and it was awesome to play on full server even as a nab who didnt know anything except fight for Pirate Shit to get at least 2 free minutes just to get some money! Erm,Im pointing at the point that only people from "good old days" are active on the server and forum. And they dont give a shit about the point that there are still new players coming on the server to check it out and probably see why LWs is the most popular server on SAMP and how the "first SAMP server" look like. So Im trying to say here is that LWs stayed in 2007/8 in those "good old days" and today that LWs is crying about how great server was, and noone actually moved his ass or/and said: "Oh cmon,we can still have great moments here". So LWs stayed like private server only caring about players from 07/8. So what Im trying to say is that there are still players that are still looking for their "moment of glory" here. Like me,I always cared about the new players..also that could been seen when suggestions board were here. Some of my suggestions were crap,yes,but whatevs. Im saying that when new players come here on server or on this forums they only see topics/posts like "Best Memory Of LWs" or "Yes,LWs was awesome 3 years ago". And those are posts that came from most respected people here,people that many old and semi-old players look up to and they will say the same. So nab sees that and he say: "Oh,what am I doing here,when even leaders are saying its dead".

So Im trying to say that noone cares about players that still are trying to make a memory here. So,that come to that "staff-players" theory.

We care about new players. Thats true, I like to cry about the old times, but hey, I've never ever said something like "forget LW, it sucks". I was always and I still am positive and I look in the future with trust and hope (means that Im optimistic about the new gamemode which will hopefully be released soon). I've been a bit less active (not inactive) lately, but holidays are almost here

It's really difficult to make newbies stay if even regulars don't know what to do on the server now. Let's hope that update will start some action here once again.

I completely agree with you. Sneaky and I have had similar discussions about this before, there is to much focus on trying to pull back the past and change is being resisted. There are variables out of our control which created the past, we can learn from it but we cannot go back to it.

Hopefully 3.0 can bring us something new to remember. However, there is only so much a script can do to increase player count. The way players and staff act is also very important to player count, creating/maintaining an atmosphere that makes people stay and feel respected is the most difficult job. It is a job that everyone can help out with.

sure player count matters, but i think that with all the helping-the-noobs and so on that this is still the first samp server and its very exclusive (my opinion). If someone feels, he doesnt want to stay here, because he got flattened by some regular, i believe he should gtfo.

I mean this is LWs, and players who cant afford playing here but are helped at any call later come and try to change the way we like things to run. LWs isnt always clean, it isnt always easy, sometimes u have a bad day, but thats how life is and how we like it. Ppl who cant accept being owned from time to time are to me the seed for rulebreakers and hackers.

Yes being a noob always wasnt easy, but its required to make some experiences. like the memories topic recently posted by splatter. What does those noobs, who get anything what they want stuffed in their arse, remember l8r? Runnig out jokers? Fighting against SWK? winning races? nah. they have no goal anymore. Its good if a noob finds friends, i dont say u should spawn rape them to prove if theyre suitable. But in order to keep the experience and the atmosphere we always had, or maybe to build a even better one (yeye sry for old times...) we need experienced players who know that crying isnt the way that will solve things. We need newbies to make experiences like being flattened in a 12v1.

Ive been owned so much i could write a book about it. and sometimes it rly pissed me off and i stayed away for some times. But i always come back for the lighter sides, and all of them i worked on myself (ok not all but the most).
Sure we should help newbies, nothing to discuss in that. But we shouldnt make them kings. Thats what i wanted to say.

Sure we should help newbies, nothing to discuss in that. But we shouldnt make them kings. Thats what i wanted to say.

This one is very true for me. But do anyone make newbies kings here? I don't think so. They can quite easily find someone who will show them the server, if they ask, but still most of the players will just kill the uknown nick (if it comes to me it depends on my mood ). We've already made the gameplay much easier than it used to be (spawn weapons, 50k for registering, more cash on the pirate ship, exporting cars) and it didn't really help. If I had to choose one thing that LW lacks and is needed in the first place, out of respect from regulars, staff, the culture of players, the clearly working system, the good anticheat, the regulars fighting each other more and a goal for players,  I would surely choose a goal for players.

And yes,I didnt say NOONE cares about new players Miczi! But still,only you said so..and few others. There is still big part of LWs that will disagree with everything I say. Im not trying to be idiot here..but check out,for example,some ban appeals,check out Discos,Jetss,AJPs,Rizlas responses on some posts,their attitude towards some players. Check out how Im treated here. I never cried about anything,I never complained to staff about some players or staff members and maybe I never will. But at some points its rly too much and I think someone should pay some more attention. I always had the noobish point of view when It comes to everything. And yes,I never contributed to LWs as someone might expect..I always had my opinions and I said them(was never treated well tho) But what kept me here so long? Im not rly sure,maybe its me still wanting to troll around or is it cuzz there is many people here that cares about me,respects my points of view,being friendly with me..even If sometimes I might overreact or Im not right.

Back on(off) topic:
I dont know what will make LWs get more players or get more players to stay. Maybe that new gamemode will help,or maybe it wont. Becouse I never blamed script of LWs..and many times I saw nabs saying(when someone or me showed them how things work) oh wow this is great. But still..there are moments when some random nab comes to server,gets raped by regular,relogs,say fuck this dood,comes back with hh-no reload-etc. and rape back. So idk.
And also,new SAMP players love servers with more commands,so sometimes more commands stops them in using hax. Im just saying some examples,not like suggestions. As I already said that Im not rly sure that new gamemode will bring more players or make them stay,maybe it will but idk. Becouse there are still the same old players playing here,in their own way,so some things wont change.

So I think the "roots" must change a bit,not bringing some addons to the "roots". Cuzz thats not change,thats just like adding sweet strawberry to a rotten cake.
