There are many things you can do to save yourself the time of formating the hard drive:-Two partitions in one drive and restart your pc every time you want to switch.-Two separated drives and plug/unplug the one you want.-Saving a clean disk image of each windows installation and just copy&paste it whenever you want to swap between themI've been switching from win 7 to 10 the last three years because of many reasons but not so often as you (probably every six months) so formating wasn't an issue for me. But, installing all of my programs and configurations every 2 weeks could drive me crazy regardless of having the time to do it or not. That's why i recomend you to consider one of the options above if you haven't already unless you really enjoy doing that for real.
Whats the program you use to display those things on your dekstop? looks cool.
Sorry for talking off topic but I think in windows XP you get more fps on games so why you all keep latest versions of windows (7,8,10)?
