Property ban problem - Connection?
« on: February 13, 2009, 09:46:31 PM »
In the past few weeks I've been trying to get properties as to fill up my bank without having to gamble, wich isn't as reliable and is way more static :\

I don't know whether it's my connection or what, but whenever I buy properties I get banned (and obivously I don't hack) and I've learned long ago not to pause or tab while doing so. Well the ban isn't a major problem... I just appeal and solved (:)) but either I lose all my money or I just plain can't get my money up :(

Is there any way to solve this? I'd like for it to be easier to fill my bank. Plus buying props now and then can be fun (for me at least).
Also, I've noticed that even when I have a good connection (constant 100 ping and below) I still get banned... frustrating but... what can I do?

Thx in advance
-Scott

well i presume your connection has maybe an !!!average!!! ping of 100 but there a few secs where it wents up so you lag  :-X
(like with the windows wireless service..wireless zero configuration/Wireless Auto Configuration..which makes your ping explode every 60secs for about 2secs when its checking for new network devices  :P )
maybe its something similar for you... wireless
or others pc's in your network/background services on your pc... downloading/uploading a fair amount of data which makes your connection lag  :P

At least ScottShagger is by far not the only one having this problem and it's good to bring it up here that way.
Since I'm still a nub when it comes to scripting and stuff, I think this should be discussed among the staffteam. Because I'd think the amount of (lets say) wrong cash increase warnings kinda increased recently. And I doubt people are just more laggy these days then 6 months ago.
Something has to be done. GO ZAM!! ;D :-*

@ Carol,
Yes you're right I have wireless most of the time, but it still happens even if I'm using the cbale :( All of these suggestions are good, as my mom is the dowloading Jack Sparrow of the Net, although it happens when she isn't dowloading too. I've tried everything, and some nights I actually have good ping but the property problem is still an unresolved issue I have  :-\

@ v3,
Huh, that's actually a pretty intersting poitn of view, I don't know anything about scripts either but now that I've noticed, you're right, more people have had my same problem lately as it's reflected in the Ban appeals. I mean the unknown cash increases are an issue always, cause now with the LW's farm there can be unknown cash increases to up to 500k, if it's bought... and that is a suspicious amount :(

I hope Zam finds the way in his scripting abilities  :D

Also agree with v3 on

I think he means the fact that he keeps getting banned cus of lag, when he doesnt lag/pause/alt-tab/etc...

He knows the money is from people buying his properties but he gets banend for cash and has noticed others are getting the same bans = problem with sever maybe??

Yeah... but I thought that was clear :\

These days I've been able to buy props without any problem.. I guess it's ok for now :)

How about most prop buyers? Are there still lots of Bans for this reason?
