well i got this idea today.

what would happen if you remove the infernus's?
well.. easy: you wont be able to race with infernus's! and what would this cause? diversity! you finally would be able to race with more vehicles, even with NRG and stay a chance for a win! as far as i know there are at least 3 vehicles with same speed, right after infernus.

who would really miss infernus's? is just advantages, right?

what do you think? is it worth of being discussed?

is just a little idea i got.

but still: i want to hear more than a "-1" so keep posts like that down plz and think about u write something.

YOU ARE INSANE! Me and infernuses share the same beating heart!

If you remove infernuses, i will no longer be able to drive to my prime. I know how to make that baby purr. From fake-ass drifting in the desert for points, to actual drifting around san fierro.. To escaping DBers, to DBing... I wouldnt even know where to begin when it comes to racing.. The other cars just cant handle as well as those things.

If it's speed you're worried about.. I know the server uses its own handling.cfg file. (ive modded mine alot, and it doesnt take effect online). So why not make banshees, comets, bullets, etc as fast as an infernus? That way players can select their look/handing, without killing themselves in the top speed department.

@ enkei: The server doesn't have it's own handling.cfg therefore it can't modify the handling of vehicles. SA-MP has it's own handling.cfg but not the server.

Actually, Turismo has a maximum velocity of 240 km/h as well. If people wish to use Infernus then they should be able to, in a race with lots of tight corners then it will usually be the better racer who wins if everyone uses the vehicles stated above.

Car speeds in order are as followed
1. Infernus (fastest by a long shot)
2. Hotring Racer
3. Banshee (not far behind the hotring)
4. Bullet
5. Turismo
6. Cheetah
7. Comet
8. Buffalo

All these vehicles have different speeds. I guarantee if you remove infernuses, everyone will use Banshee's. Despite their terrible handling.

Yeah, maybe if its their first time driving an infernus. If you dont know how to drift that bitch around tight corners, you have no business driving it to begin with.

they like the infernus's because nothing can mess with their speed. there are not a lot of good cars for racing. there is the infernus and on a few other tracks u can win with turismo or NRG too but i would prefer it without infernus. on top of that most noobs dont know that infernus is > all. how many noobs have you seen at race start with infernus? and how many have you seen with other vehicles like banshee and NRG etc.?

Actually, in the All Around San Andreas race you still have a good chance of winning with an NRG in my opinion. I prefer to race with NRG because you can take shortcuts easily, especially in the country side.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just allow certain cars in certain races, as it was in the Race-Challenges? :-\

I like this idea. You can get rid of all-Infernus races if you're the host yet still have them for use when not racing.

HERE'S AN IDEA!

HOW ABOUT, INSTEAD OF REMOVING INFURNUS, PUT A SCRIPT IN /RACEHOST ASKING IF INFURNUSES SHOULD BE DISABLED IN THIS RACE

like select a race, then a option pops up saying if the infurnus should be disabled

then put another script that would go "race starting in xx at xx blah blah (no infurnus allowed)

THEN PUT THAT LINE THAT IF YOU IN CERTAIN VEHICLES YOU CAN'T RACE (LIKE MOTORCYCLES AT DRIFT OR AIRPLANES IN RACE ETC) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

unless everybody else fail/suck with infernus it is impossible to win with NRG. believe me, i know what im talking about. yes i finished all round SA with NRG as winner but the time was like 9:15 and with infernus it was less than 8:20. a minute is an eternity in a race.

in the presence of infernus all cars of server are meanless because infernus have 24km/h and no car in gta have  speed more than 230.Check it in your handling file
If everyone will mod their cars to 240 speed then it will work

the turismo is not as fast as infernus. i tested it yesterday with scott. it just accelerates a way faster, which is an advantage in some race tracks.

and btw:
im the best race track builder EVVVVVVVVER. if it is possible by any chance - i really would like to build new race tracks for LW. I assure you: im good!

and julius thruway is awesome ;)

The race script isn't really in the condition to accept user submissions BUT I have an idea to remedy that. I'll drop a line with Zamaroht later and see what he thinks and gather some information, since the script is his baby :).

the Imports, super cars, and generic.... imports include all the cars that can be modded at arch angels and the other mod place (thats not transfenders), like elergy, flash, sultan, etc.... super cars are the fast ones, turismo, GT, NRG, bullet, cheetah etc (but i think infurnus should be left out in this category), generic would be all the other cars, like buffalo, huntley, PCJs, basically anything thats not a import or a super car...

when selecting race, it would be say, something like /racehost xxxxxx xxx xxxx etc, then you select the track, say all around SA 1 lap, then you select car class: all, import, super sport, or generic. (all cars would include infurnues, any other will not).

Also, i think its cool to have different classes of cars available for each race. But, i dont like the "generic" class. Who the fuck wants to race with a huntley? Plus, a buffalo is faster than most "supercars" so it shouldnt be put in the "generic" class.

1. Supercars (Including infernus)
2. Supercars
3. Import cars (Jester, Elegy, Sultan, Flash, Uranus(slow as fuck)
4. All cars.

with the elergy thing, keep in mind that its a bitch to handle, the sultan and jester would own the elergy in a really short, tight circuit with a lot of turns and drifts...
