So, as the title says " Android vs Windows Phone ", which one is better? And why do you think it's better? :)
-
Android :P

-
There's no such thing as better. It all depends on your own 'Personal choice'.
-
I luv Android.
-
If you're looking for simplicity and prestige go for iphone. If you're looking for accessibility and better compatibility go for an android phone.
-
Android ofc.

Since I'm an adult now and don't need instagram or games, I vote for Windows(10).

Both aren't that bad. Though, I'd choose none of them because of their bad-quality materials. For example, it falls on the floor and the screen shatters in every way possible.
I prefer good old phones with QWERTZ keyboards. I'm using a Nokia E72 - which is almost 7 years old, got no problem with it, I can use whatever I need, its battery lasts for days, almost a week and when it falls on the floor I'm more worried about the flooring than the phone.

In the phones they keep losing market share very fast. In the last 3 years they went from 3% to 1.7%. If they don't do something to change this i'm afraid they will be gone soon.
Yes, Windows is being launched on every possible device including smartphones, even those running Android. Sorry if I missed that part.
When it comes to market, Android is actually the biggest loser these past years, as fastest drops in % over this and last year. iOS(thanks to 14 year old girls on instagram) is dominating the increase of %. Followed by Microsoft who had to take the legendary Nokia failure on it's back and is still managing to grow it's market.
-
Android has over 80% market share, I highly doubt its "losing" anything
iPhones are a very premium product whether you like it or not, they have brilliant build quality and design, and their software is actually pretty good, with iOS scoring pretty high in benchmarking tools like GeekBench 3, higher than many top end Android phones
But whats beginning to happen is companies like Samsung are doing what Apple have been doing this whole time, and developing their own processors (the S6 I believe uses absolutely everything made in house) like the Exynos, which blew the Apple equivalent and the standard Snapdragon 810 of 2015, completely out of the water. Antutu benchmark scores went from around 45-50k set by the iPhone 6, Meizu MX5 and Oneplus One - To about 75k with the S6
Windows aren't in the race: If you want a phone you know, you get an iPhone. If you want a phone you can fully customize, or only have a certain budget, you go Android
Nerd-Gasm over (My final year project at university was to make phone apps, so I had to do this crap as research)
-
Not sure where do you gather statistics but the idc
Took many market shares stats over past few years, the most important US ones, world and other major markets. Compared the shares and got the actual scale. Which shows that Android is losing it's market to iOs.
Android has over 80% market share, I highly doubt its "losing" anything
At some market share scales, Android has dropped to 57% actually, vs the iOS growing 34% and Windows at steady 3% and then then others, actually.
But the numbers mean shit.
Android will keep dominating the market for many years, iOS will be right there behind it. It's the top 2 most popular OS's no matter what any other OS look like and what it is able to do. Even you can't actually compare Android with iOS as even I can develop and run my own Android OS on my 5 years old Arc S. Android has the power of Linux and that's what makes it great. No other system offers that. But Android without custom OS is just same old Gingerbread crap I fell in love with, just like the same old same old iOS I hated since the start.
And I'm just sick and tired of both. That's why I decided to switch to Windows this year. I am shaping the future of Windows for last 2 years. #SoPro
If you think Windows doesn't do anything to revive it's Phone OS, you better Bing look up the latest Windows stuff. And THEN try to look back at AndriOS.
Windows is the future, and they pay me to say this.

4) free to use
5) gives good performance on 512 mb ram
6) has everyapps equal and more than Android

I had a windows phone in 2010, it was painful. The appstore wasnt maintained at all & was full of really poor copies of ios/android apps or poorly made ports
-
umn well in US, Australia or any other country even kids have iphone , ipad but in india cost of iphone is so damn high like now iphone 6+ is nearly 65000INR

Good times.
lel so true, I remember having similar experience with my first Android back then (been using Nokia 3310 before that).
But since 2010, Windows Phone got so much better. Yes, even better than any Android/iOS today. Sure, Store is still filled with awful apps, but at least their ratings aren't paid.
Windows Phone is lacking fame just because most of mobile users today see mobile devices as:
"I has big screen and it says Samsung on it!"
