Gryphus, I agree that now when its almost imposible for newbies to enter ammo without dying giving them only deagle is bad (causes people to leave). But that rly wasnt that bad when everyone was starting with nothing. However most of the players dont agree with me in this so i guess thats just my personal feeling ::)

and being banned once :o but i was unbanned so all is well :D

I didn't know that someone who has been banned (even if only temporarily) could be later elected as admin.
.

It was a mistake so i was never really properly banned but instead banned by mistake (as a player i was falsely banned about 2 times due to me joinign just when the cheater left and me taking his id - oh the fun)

This is just unbelievable!!! better with only deagle??? :o :o :o OMG!!!
Then I reply the same as I did in another thread:

Ohh yeah, and we can also make newcomers to be disabled and have their legs cut, so they have to move on wheelchairs and they cannot walk, run nor drive any vehicles. They have to earn enough money to buy some orthopedic or robotic legs... But wait a moment!!! if they have no legs and are on wheelchairs, they cannot flee from those who want to kill them, losing all they money they have earned. Yeah!!! great idea!!!
Would that be difficult enough for you, sir?  >:( ???

You seem to be missing that what many people want is INSTANT FUN!!!!

If you like to start with nothing and going up, why don't you make LW like one of those horrible RP servers in which you start with no weapons, with no money and even with no ability to drive any vehicles, and in which you have to use the public transportation, find a job, pay your driving license and all that stuff??

Starting with only deagle would be good ONLY if your weapons were saved like your stats and your money in the bank (although in that case weapons should be more expensive), because it would be more similar to the single player mode, in which you are advancing but your progress is saved (I think those RP servers are that way too).

pointless post is pointless ::)

gryphus doesnt know what LW was like a year ago.

the gameplay on LW changed drastically. we do not have 200 players and 50-100 players with only deagle... right now only regulars play and like 5 players of 25 are noobs. a few years ago around 100-150 out of 200 were noobs! spawn weapons is the best thing that could have happened. its true that it turned LW just into some random DM server but whatever.. if it increases the amount of players im OK with it.

To those who say it was better with only deagle because now you don't have to earn money, I must tell you that you are wrong, because you still need to earn money to buy more ammo, since the uzis with 300 bullets run out of ammo in a moment. Also, there are other weapons that aren't given to you (like rifles, AK47 and M4), so right now it's a balanced intermediate point between the instant fun and the need to earn money.
Also, remember that you can spend money on many other things and not only on weapons: hosting races, putting bounties, buying properties, special items, etc.

With "starting with nothing" you mean when the bank didn't save your money, don't you? well, that's even worse, because if you want to have good weapons you don't only have to withdraw money from the bank and go to Ammu with stress, paying attention to your possible enemies wanting to kill you, but also you first have to earn all that money from scratch!!!! when a player joins a server he wants to start killing from the just moment he starts playing, and not after an entire hour of hard work. Banks not saving money would be good only if, apart from the good default weapons and the car exports, we had also the races autohosted by the system.
But Miczi, if you like to start with no money like in the old times, you can always use an unregistered nick, or just use your current one but without saving any money in the bank.

I can understand that some people want to work for things instead of having them all from the very first moment. However, all those things that you have to get, should be saved and not lost each time you leave the game (like in single player mode), because otherwise it gets really annoying and frustrating to be forced to repeat the same hard work over and over again. Can you imagine that in single player mode (in San Andreas or in any other game) your progress weren't saved, and each time you wanted to use a certain vehicle or weapon you had to repeat the whole story to unlock that thing?? It would suck ehh?

If you like to start with only deagle, take a look on my new suggestion: http://forum.littlewhiteys.co.uk/index.php/topic,13426.0.html

With "starting with nothing" I meant to start off with Deagle only.
But as Bikey said, that was with an average of ~120 players online, when you didn't even dream about a multiplayer for SA :-*

No problem to me if no switch and no c-bug gets back. But I think that'll never happen.

The limit changed over time, idk why it's 200 (197 with NPC's) now. Should just change the limit to 100 and change it back if/when we get more people.

I think that the limit was increased with the new version of samp (dunno which). Yeah, decreasing it may make the server look crowded.

Gryphus, im writing it on the phone so ill say it shortly. Samp is a game one of a kind and lw is a server one of a kind. Back when the gamemode was rly dificult we had a full server. Im one of those ppl who wanted to make it easier and now i see that it was wrong.
