it downloads files based on the server's ip/port, if the server ip/port isn't recognized, the game won't start.

just to explain before other people ask, the game will start normally without problem and with the original data files if you do not have the program running.

and the sawnoffs are slow (it takes  a while to shoot)..the uzi is pretty epic indeed

that is the secondary intention, a lot of 'cheating stuff' has been disabled/removed
