The advantages of this change happening
Say there are 20 players in the server, 5 go AFK and get kicked then you got 15 players left. Say a player is browsing the server list and see's only 15 players, one of the reasons he might not join is cause the server hasn't got many players.

Say there are 20 players in the server and 5 go afk and DO NOT get kicked, the server appears fuller and more people might join cause of that.

The disadvantages of this change happening
Properties income will keep increasing, but this could easily be fixed by detecting if a player is AFK and just pause the income until he comes back then resume.

this is what i have been waiting for a long time for great suggestion it will help ppl come into the server even thought its afk. Once i was the only person in the server for about 2 hrs it was rlly sad so i bought props if ppl can go afk it will put less work on admin, and it will get more ppl into the server.

I suggested this some ago, but no answer to it. There's no disadvantage in changing this, it once was usefull when the server was heavy populated so you had to wait before you could join the server. Also, as an addition to this, please remove the rules agreement when you join the server. Too many newbies get kicked because they're too stupid to click ok to accept the rules. Even if they click ok, people still break the rules so it has no use. It's just some formality that costs a lot of players that are stupid and/or don't speak English.

+1 for this idea from me too. maybe instead there should be a red message in chat: "Paused player - he wont take damage!" whenever you attack a player who paused the game. if possible.

Well afaik now people dont normally get kicked for being outside, unless its on ship.

We do kick if people are paused on the ship for obvious reasons of abuse (automatic) and for pausing in fights (if its done constantly).

Yeah I agree, it makes the server look more crowded. Also, if a new player (that doesn't know he can pause in banks/Ammu) is kicked for pausing outside, maybe he will get confused and never come back.

Can it be done that if someone pauses on the ship, instead of being kicked he just stops earning money while paused?

You two are taking for granted that new players know all those things that actually don't know and don't have to know (since they are new), or do you think that when a new player joins a server he automatically gets all the concepts in his head in a second?

Although i agree new players dont know the game mode then a tutorial (which is suggested i think) is needed or you need to help new players (and dont tell them to DB! jeez!)

When I play, the server is in it's quietest time. It's not cool when 90% of the server is AFK, I joined to play with the advertised amount of players in the server browser. It's frustrating for players to join an AFK server, if I didn't have other duties here I would've left to a server with more active players.

Joining the server and seeing a lot of "invulnerable" players like ACE touched on would not be good.. newbies may think they're cheating or just get frustrated that nobody dies. It's possible that newbie would think, "maybe I should cheat too" which would result in more cheaters and more bannings.

Why not put the text 'paused' above the players name if player takes a break? Not everyone knows that gray name means paused.

Its just only annoying when there are liek 5 players arroung in the map and paused...
