Watched Transformers #1 and #3 and I think that the first part was better than the last one, and everyone I asked things so too. But ye, its the taste what counts.

About the girls... I love Megan Fox, one of the hottest girls ever, but Rosie Huntington is a good one too, I wasn't really disappointed seeing her in the last part, she looked great (IMO).

Because a good looking female (I'm not saying Megan Fox looks good, because she doesn't in my opinion) brings quality to a movie. Yea right.
Sad truth is many Hollywood productions have to rely on a little love story no matter what genre the movie is or what kind of plot is being used.
