GTA clones? It's way better than GTA in my opinion. Mafia I came out in 2002 if I am right, I have waited 8 years for the sequal to come out and it didn't disappoint me at all.

What can you do once you finish the game? some of the lower scoring reviews for the game say once it ends the city is boring and there is nothing to do.

Yeah, one minus side is that there is actually no free roam after the game, so that kind of sucked and made the game short based. You can choose some chapter and just ignore the mission your on tho and free roam around like that, but you always have an objective to follow.

I really dislike this game and it is no way better than GTA.
I do not like the gfx style, I do not like the controlls, and I do not like the time when it begins.

You should have set your PC's date to 29th August if you got the game before 29th (release date). That would have fixed all your problems.

Done some chapters and loving it so far, they really know how to make a deep story and a good atmosphere. The cutscenes and the voiceacting is amazing. Expected nothing less though after having played through the first Mafia when it came out. As for not not having anything to do besides the story, that may be true, but imo it's the same in GTAIV (when you're finished with the game you have a shitload of cash and nothing to spend it on)

And besides that, Mafia II is harder then GTA IV, isnt a shitty port, has a great story, much variation when it comes to its storyline and the missions and its just way more fun over all. Yeah, it sure misses some parts, but still, its the best freeroam game since GTA:SA came out

beat the game on med in about 15 hours. only glitch i had was in chapter 14 it wouldnt load past the pay off cut sense. all had to do was restart the chapter which i didn't mind cause i loved it. only thing i was the game had was a freeroam but then again it wouldnt really fit due to the game having two era's and seasons.

Now i have to say my fav part of the game is that you can carry every gun at the same time even the two type's of Thompson and two different 1911's
