There has been a lot of discussions about races: suggestions to implement measures to prevent Rustlers from ruining them, someone saying that races should be removed because they are not used, etc. This suggestion would fix those two problems very easily:
-A summary: Whenever there's a race and there are Rustlers flying around, an admin spawns a Hydra and chases the Rustlers. This way the Rustlers would still be able to shoot at the racers but they would have to watch out for the missiles.
Also, admins can spawn money to host their own races with high prices, so more people would join the races.
-The advantages of this happening: NO NEED TO SCRIPT ANYTHING, increased chances for the racers, more people joining the races, and Rustlers still being able to chase racers.
A solution that would satisfy both parts: racers and Rustler pilots.
-The disadvantages: There must be at least 2 admins: one to make this, and another to ban cheaters.
-Another option: If the only problem of this suggestion is that admins wouldn't want to fly a Hydra, then there's another solution: the Hydra is piloted by any other player, but of course the whole race set (racers, Rustlers, Hydra, road blockers etc.) would have to be in a parallel world and the Hydra kills not counted to the stats, to avoid the Hydra being abused. In case of doing it this way, the Hydra pilot might get a reward depending on how many racers reach the finish line.
This would require some scripting, but in return there would be no need of any admin playing in these races.
