Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3

Well ive done some looking and asking, Apperently CoD4 (MW) and any cod game after that was practically the same. Ive played some CoD 2 for a bit few years back and i didnt like it 1 bit. Ofcourse you cant compare it to any other CoD now.

I would have bought BF3 no questions asked if it was released on steam since most my games i have on Steam, But now that DICE decided to use their own system called Origin i was reluctant. Since i dont have any good experience when it comes to EA handling accounts and account information. Basicly for each game you had to make a new account. And now years later they decide to make one of those accounts the master account and connect all other accounts to that account. Which is ofcourse chaotic and annoying as you wont get to use the name you wanted in the first place mine would be WildStyleZx89 ofcourse and not one of my previous names.

Anyway ive decided to get Battlefield 3 anyway in hardcopy form (not from origin) since ive got most of my battlefield games on hardcopy except for Bad company 2. Its also a bit safer to go for BF3 since ive been playing Battlefield since Battlefield 1942 and the videos are just awesome lol. I might buy MW3 but id probably buy it when its dropped to 40 or 30 euro not paying 60 for that now.. lol

i'd like to vote for both games because they both are awesome. there are some major differences but thats only about your gaming style.. if you want super realistic warfare like its in real world, get BF3. if you dont care if its realistic or not, just want super fast paced action, get MW3. i really dont see the reason of all insults and trash talk between fans of both games..
if i really had to decide which 1 ill get, i would get BF3. (but that will never happen cause of my super awesome crap PC )

Well im still figuring out which one to take. Ill probably buy a hard copy of BF3. Since i got all BF games on CD/DVD (except for BC2 which i bought on steam) (probably gunna get a hard copy of that one day to) But i haz other things to do before i buy a new game so its gunna be a while before i get either one of these games.

Also i like slower paced games rather than fast paced like CoD games are.

well there we go looking out for WW3 as of we allready had needed it.
Our generation in the western world sits behind monitors and in McDonalds, and didnt ever get the slightest idea of what war is.
Now they play MW3 for fun, tomorrow they will attend WW3 for fun :/

Eh what now ? I think WW3 has been goin on for quite some time now. I think you could say the War on terrorism is world war 3 as its pretty much global and alot of countries are involved?

Anyway I never got into these games so much, eventually I spose I will but if they both seem like viable options why not just get both?

because if you play both at the same time, you will notice, after playing a while, that one of the games is slightly better then the other one.
And there you go with having your hardly earned money wasted on some shitty game you don't even play :/
(while most not even have the money to buy two games at once)

My suggestion out of years of computer gaming experience :
First wait until the prices got low, then allready so much ppl played and reviewed it, that possibly one of the games got many bad reviews so no problem in not buying it.

If not: first get one game, play it thru, then get the other one once you're bored with the first one.
Tho if you never get bored with the first one you can be pretty sure you don't even need the second one.

Battlefield offers a hard competitive game-play, unlike COD you can even beat the whole enemy team only using your hand-knife.

As I just mentioned, without thinking or team-play only yourself can beat a team out of eight soldiers using nothing but your hand-knife. In BC2 let's look at Squad Rush mode for instance, you need to be very communicative with your team to achieve victory, whenever you spot enemies you must inform your team mates ( And it's even much more fun when on TS / Vent / Mumble. ) to knockout for example four players in a row in BC2 you need to be very skilled to do that, it's not that easy.

Now taking a closer look on BO, or MW2 because I think I speak for the majority when I say it's better. You can always go solo and outgun loads of enemies without having team mates to help you, what's even worst you can pick a handgun with Marathon Pro, Lightweight Pro, and Commando Pro ( If I recall it's name correctly, it's the perk that speeds up your melee. ) then you're almost unstoppable.

There's probably a lot of other stuff that I do like in BC2 more than BO / MW2, so according to the last version of Battlefield and COD, I will definitely vote for BF3.

my experience with COD in general and MW2 especially was that COD has become a real Nurd-game full of socalled Pros, Jumpers, Quickscopers and MW2 was even more a cyber competition, and not really a serious simulation, and from what i saw till now MW3 will feature even more 500m-kills, noscopes and wallbounces.
And i especially hate the +3000000000000 points flashing on the screen on every kill. If you are used to +3 and +5, it really sucks.

I'd therefore really prefer BF3 with a more realistic, simulating gameplay. Maybe it's just a question of taste, but i like being in the middle of serious action rather then attending a sports competition.

If i would have to compare MW3 and BF2 using older games, i'd say MW3 is for me like CS.S and BF2 would be NFS Shift 2.
