Spring 2013 has now been officially confirmed.

In the comments Rockstar has posted this,

Hey guys, glad to see so much enthusiasm about the release announcement. For those asking about the PC platform, we're currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time. Anyone that continues to spam the comments section will have their commenting privileges suspended.

Not a good sign right now but fingers crossed that a PC version will not follow long after PS3/Xbox release. They done a great job with Max Payne 3 so it would be sad to see if they do a shoddy port like GTAIV.

I think GTAV multiplayer has the potential to be a lot bigger than IV's. PC's which can run IV are becoming more common which means a larger and more enjoyable multiplayer player base. I don't think the recommended spec jump from IV to V will be a big one. If R* are developing PC simultaneously (like Max Payne 3) with other versions then and not doing an Xbox port then the recommended specs could even be lower!

When you include interior and exterior spaces together, Los Santos is bigger than the worlds of Red Dead Redemption, San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV combined, with room to spare. This expansive environment includes beachfronts, wine country, a large wilderness area surrounding a fully explorable Mt. Chiliad, a Salton Sea region, a military base, and of course the sprawling suburban hills leading up to the bustling urban center of Los Santos. Bring your scuba equipment, too, because you can even explore the fully detailed ocean floor along the Los Santos coastline.

Holy motherfucking cow
