@ SUPERBAD: I really have no idea at all how I could forget to add "Tabula Rasa" to my list. Silly me.
There was a really cool Drum 'n' Bass Remix by DJ Sebel on the maxi cd by the way (but I didn't find it on youtube if I remember right).
And now.. I'm more then just proud to present to you...
The Greatest Band to ever step a foot on this planet...The Smashing PumpkinsI decided to split my Smashing Pumpkins megapost aswell, due to the really huge amount of great songs they did (didn't want to put 40-50 songs into one post again). So let's start off with the early Pumpkins - "Gish" & "Siamese Dream" era (their first 2 studio albums and a collection of b-sides):Rhinoceros (Best track from their 1st album imo.)
Cherub Rock (Whoa! Rock & Roll baby!!)
Today (Hello good mood.
)
Hummer (I always had like a little addiction to these indian-like sounds, so the intro is pretty cool. One of these amazing Pumpkins ballads. Have a joint or sumthing and enjoy the whole outro begginning at 4:30! Really.. do it!
)
Rocket (Such a full sound.. and a funky video too.
)
Disarm (One of the Pumpkins' first major hits. Wonderfully sad ballad with very deep lyrics. I love the combination of guitars and strings in general. Definitely one of the best songs the Pumpkins ever made.)
Soma (Another typical Pumpkins ballad.. 3.5 minutes relax, then.. BOOM!)
Mayonaise (Next quite sad ballad. Beautiful song tho.)
Silverfuck (This is one epic, long ROCK song. Another example of what a great drummer Chamberlin is.)
Soothe (I like the guitars here cuz they remind me of this song:
Nancy Wilson - Elevator Beat which has been featured in the movie Vanilla Sky.. yeah i pretty much like that movie.
)
Whir (Chilling good mood song for a sunny summer day.)
Obscured (Another chillout track. Probly my fave of the smoother Pumpkins songs.)
Landslide (Another sad but lovely ballad with beautiful accoustic guitar sound.)
Spaced (Prepare the 2nd joint for this one.
)
That's true Rock 'n' Roll! Not like all these clone bands you see in the charts today.
