Clan Discussion poll
« on: January 28, 2012, 04:26:16 PM »
Its been a problem lately that random people just start a topic in the Clan Discussion section and the day after requesting to close the topic due to lack of players joining that clan. And a lot of people have been complaining about it.

Here is my idea:
- Only let players open a clan discussion on request. (So only give the clan leaders permission to open the clan topic, people will still be able reply in topics)
- Minimum requirements to open a clan discussion: Atleast have 3 people in the clan and be alive for atleast 2 weeks.

Nah that would have been the proper requirement back when we still had 100+ players. I was actually thinking that 2 weeks would be to much and rather have 1 week. But so far no complaints about 2 weeks being to much so its good to keep it at 2 weeks.

Whoever voted no.. please explain why.. so we can improve the requirements.

I voted no, as much as it is stupid, who are we to tell them they can't start a clan?

Obviously me being me, I have complete control over every clan and I shut them down if I don't like them, but I choose not to interfere ;]

voted NO.

We don't need a new rule just because a single player who is 5+5=10? years old and likes to troll people on these forums.

Its to keep the Clan discussion clean. It was actually an idea from someone else. I was just smart enough to start a poll about it.

I voted no, as much as it is stupid, who are we to tell them they can't start a clan?

We are not telling them they cant start a clan Nemesis so yea they can start a clan with or without a Clan discussion here on LW forum. Its just about them morons creating a new clan each fucking minute that people are complaining about. And starting a useless topic when everyone knows the clan is going to fail. This way you got some oversight, gain respect, and keep this chaotic mess clean.

voted NO.

You obviously hate me and that is fine, but there is no trolling going on in this entire topic. The only troll right now is you by posting that exact message. So please gtfo and die if you haven't got anything constructing to say. Besides it would not be a rule it would basically be enforced by the website itself (Permissions and such in Cpanel)

The idea is just that people will set up a clan first and settle with some players and some time on the server and to see if it goes anywhere. And then start a topic about it on the forums. Having 20 topics about clans that are doing good and are alive and kicking is better than having 100 topics about 1 day clans which no one has joined or will ever join.

Two clicks on the forum is no problem for an admin really, sure its annoying but its not a huge issue, this won't stop the countless times an admin has to change the players name to add/remove the new tags

Not true.
If admins where as smart as they thought they where, they would implement something to change that, something like: Let the players be able to change their names once a day/week/month ? Yea that stuff has been suggested before. And i don't know why it got denied because it would let admins focus on more important things than a random player looking to change his name.

I didn't get it because he did not post on this topic and i thought u meant me because we usually don't agree on things. So ill just apologize here for not getting it and possibly the somewhat mean things i said in return.

yes, it's the right way to act, but i think it would be easier to ban users, like this clever now, who don't know how to use a forum
