Welcome clan's,
to the Continuous Gang Championship on LW!

- Introduction
CGC, the Continuous Gang Championship, is an eternal ranking list for the clans of Littlewhitey's. It also wields an persistent territory map representing the influence on Las Venturas' streets each clan has.

CGC is part of The Guardians, and the rankings achieved here have direct influence on the clan rating of The Guardians.

- History

CGC, Continuous GangNAM Championship, was the first approach to such an eternal ranking list, in wich clans could participate to see how good they are compared to other clans. The idea to CGC started on the 16th of September 2012, when [R]EnzoMortelli, Quickplay and [JOKER]Bikerr were together to discuss the low clan activity on the server. After two weeks of discussing and improving the idea, it were officially founded on the 1st of October 2012 by [R]EnzoMortelli and [JOKER]Bikerr. Thank you to all the people who have helped to shape it into it's first form!

- How it works

In order for a clan to participate, it must first have to join The Guardians.
When a clan joins The Guardians, it will be added to the bottom of the CGC ranking list.
In order for a clan to rank up, it will have to defeat the clan that's one step higher in the ranking list by challenging them to clan war battles.

Example:
Quote
  - CGC ranking list

   rank 1: Clan A
   rank 2: Clan B
   rank 3: Clan C

      - Now Clan D joins the ranking list;

         rank 1: Clan A
         rank 2: Clan B
         rank 3: Clan C
         rank 4: Clan [D]

            - Clan D wants to rank up, and challenge Clan C, where after Clan D wins.

            - Clan D will take the ranking spot of Clan C:

               rank 1: Clan A
               rank 2: Clan B
               rank 3: Clan [D]
               rank 4: Clan C

- How the actual fights happen

Clans will fight with equal gangs (further refered to as 'squads') exactly 30 minutes for every turf in the city of Las Venturas. A referee will watch over the battles to make sure all rules are met and to give the time. That referee will also upload a screenshot of the city map each from the start and directly after the battle. Those screenshots will be used to put the continuous territory map together. The clan that has taken the most territories at the end of the 30 minutes wins the challenge and advances in rank. The Ammunation turfs North Ammunation and Desert Ammunation each count double (2 turfs).

- Rules

  • The number of players fighting eachother must be equal; 3vs3, 4vs4 etc.
  • Driveby and helikilling is not allowed.
  • The /setspawn command is not allowed. Using it leads to disqualification of the whole squad.
  • Asking for help to random players in the server is not allowed.
  • Only weapons allowed in the server may be used.
  • Taking turfs beforehand won't matter as these are calculated out by the first screenshot of the referee.
  • Inviting members to the clan's gang during the fight leads to disqualification. That also goes for reinviting disconnected members.
  • There shall be no replacement for disconnected fighters.
  • Disconnection of the whole squad means loss, except in major server fails.
  • Other clanless or mixed clan gangs can interfere, as long as they do not break The Agreement.
  • Fights run exactly 30 minutes.
  • Turfs at war (flashing) do not count when the challenge ends.
- How to sign on

To challenge another clan, u will have to copy this form and fill it in, then post it >>HERE<<.
(some fields can't be filled in directly, they have to be filled in after talking to and agreed with the challenged clan (edit the post))

Challenge form:
[/list]
Code: [Select]
[b]Challenger:[/b] [yourclanname] [yourclanrank]
[b]Challenged:[/b] [clanname] [clanrank]
[b]Number of players u wish to use in your squad[/b] (3 minimum, 6 maximum): [NUMBER] (must be discussed with the challenged clan and agreed upon)
[b]Date and time of challange:[/b] [DATE] (challenger gives a set date and time, must be discussed with the challenged clan and agreed upon)
[b]Referree:[/b] [NAME] (must be an admin)

Make sure the topic title is something like this:

<CHALLANGE> [yourclanname] [yourrank] VS [clanname] [clanrank]

Example:
Quote
<CHALLANGE> [JOKER] [rank 5] VS [SWK] [rank 4]

If your clan is being challenged, you will have to respond within a week. The actual challenge date may be after that week, but can't be changed once 1 week has passed since the initial challenge. Discussing the date and the number of players that will participate in each clan, will be done in the topic made by the challenger, following these rules:

- How to decide on the time

primary:
  • 1. Challenger/Attacker (A) sets a specific time and date in the challenge (must be GMT)
  • 2. Both clans have one week to decide a time.
  • 3. When date and time has been set and agreed on, it cannot be changed.
  • 4. Actual challenge time must not necessarily lie in that one week.

  • One clan may never suggest a range that was suggested before or contains times that lie in previously suggested ranges.
  • All times and dates must be given in GMT. Posts must contain hours and days/dates.
  • Time ranges have a minimum length of 4 hours per day.

Not following the time decision scheme will result in a warning and if continued in the invalidation of the challenge to the advantage of the other clan. Also, if a challenged clan fails to respond within a week they will loose the challenge.
If the date was set, and one of the clans does not show up, the other clan wins the challenge automatically. This includes clan squads not being complete by 15 minutes after the actual challenge time.

- Continuous Territory Map

The turfs won in the CGC fights will be merged into a continuous map of all the turfs in LV, representing the clans' influence on the city. no matter if a clan wins a challenge, they will get to hold all the territories they took over during the fight on the continuous map aswell. If that would imply to take over a turf previously owned by another clan that means the turf is at war beetween those clans and does not belong to either of them until a challenge brings a decision. A third clan cannot take over into these war turfs, so the clans should always have the map in the back of their minds during a challenge.
As in the challenges, the Ammunation turfs count double here aswell. The total number of turfs a clan holds, divided by it's CGC rank, is it's Guardian power rating.

Update:

added a new rule, though this might be obvious:

Turfs at war (flashing) do not count when the challenge ends.

Yes, the CGC is still in effect though the Territory map would need an update since new turfs were added.

Also with the new permanent gangs there might be comprehensive changes in the future, until then the CGC still works as described here.
